I cut ties for 15 years on a mill I built. This is the best tie mill I've ever seen. Bar none. With an edger behind it it could produce a flood of lumber.

I use to be a Corley Man back in the day,But after sawing on a Hurdle,I wont have a corley,this is one simple mill,and the carriage is so simple my little boy can work on it his self..Keep up the great work,thanks

We run a hurdle two headblock mill like this in Arkansas,and we saw as fast,this video ain't been changed

The most interesting aspect of this 2 generation behind state of the art system is the fact that this mill is making a TON of money and it cost far less than a "state of the art" chip-n-saw mill.

Mostly gum, lumber is very cheap. Ties are way more profitable.

We have a hurdle junior that runs every day great mills , and with a little up keep and maintenance,you can not ware these mill out

Several interesting aspects of this. No debarker means decreased saw sharpness life. Multipass cuts to remove bark mean wasted squaring cuts required. Single pass chip-n-saw would waste less of the log and increase productivity. This operation is at least one full generation behind state of the art.

You could add a debarker that would be a another machine to keep up and another employee to pay and lay out keep it simple and hammer down
