As a Vincentian KZfaqr with such a platform my self and Vincy wildlife also Teri natural has come together in efforts to give a help in hand to the people of Union Island, whom were affected by the life threatening hurricane Beryl. Commendable job @Optionz. I am devastated by this experience. While I know we will prevail, I know what it feels like to be in that situation and am happy to see that funds will be going directly to the individuals. I am hoping to reach out directly to those who need it the most. At the same time, I hope no one (I.e donator) uses the opportunity to take personal advantage of our vulnerable women and girls in any way during our distressing time. The Construction Methodology seems to suggest that the Buildings were generally NOT up to a recognized building Code like the Caribbean Uniform Building Code! It appears too, that the history of NO Hurricanes did NOT Jolt the Builders to acquire Better Building Technologies to resist a Category 5 Hurricane! The issue now is NOT to repeat those shortcomings during the rebuilding process! We are hoping, that Governmental, and International Organizations like HABITAT will take the lead on the same!

Commendable work Optionz Entertainment (ENT). I am confident now that we will have to consider incorporating rurricane resistant roofing technology to local dwellings. Multiple approaches would come into play, and they can be reviewed, then implemented accordingly.

They need to START USING SHANGLES , FIELT , PLY WOOD , 2X4 MAKE SURE SPACE THEM 24INCHES APART ALSO 4X6 AROUND COMPLETE BELT USE HURRICANE CLIPS . Were these building codes you mentioned in place in 2019 when hurricane Dorian destroyed the Bahamas? I am thinking a lot of these codes were put into place after Dorian and If they were in place, a lot of buildings still got destroyed. Many of these homes were built many years ago. I am sure when rebuilding they will put building codes in place to avoid devastation like this in the future. We live and we learn to praise the lord.
