Marty Freidman one of the most complex guitarists. My favorite past member of Megadeth

You can NOT go wrong with this whole album. All killer, no filler as they say. And that is not a cliché. It's fact. It's in your face, balls to the wall thrash(ish) metal. Still almost top of my list.

The only drummer with one arm I know is the one of Def Leppard. Another great band if you want to check it out.

Def Lappard has the one armed drummer, Rick Allen lost his arm in a car accident. nick Menza the former drummer of Megadeth passed away a few months ago.

Holy Shit your first Megadeth reaction is "Tornado of Souls"!!!!!!! Dammit mate this should have been left till the very end :D The drummer with one arm is Rick Allen from Def Leppard. And the drummer who passed away 2 years ago is the legendary "Rush" drummer Neil Peart.

Def Leppard is the UK band that have a 1-armed drummer Rick Allen... he had a car accident in 1984, which severed his left arm. He was 16 when he joined the band, 21 when the accident happened... Def Leppard refused to replace him after he said he wanted to relearn to play drums. He spent a year working on a custom electronic drum kit that allowed him to play w/ his right arm and both feet and recorded their 4th album 'Hysteria' (1987) that way. He still plays in Def Leppard today... I saw them recently and Rick Allen even did a drum solo 🤘🤘🔥🔥 Def Leppard has always been a hard rock band with pop rock influences... In fact, they have put out pop records in their career, but have gone back to making rock music - what they are best at.

This song is about the relationship he had with a girl named Diana. He wrote quite a few songs about her including Wake Up Dead, In My Darkest Hour, She Wolf (Definitely do a reaction to She Wolf Live from Rude Awakening), 99 Ways To Die and many others.

Nick Menza was hell of a drummer!

A great Megadeth song. It has one of the best guitar solos in metal. Tina S does a great guitar cover of this song and you can see it being played. She is a stellar guitarist The band that has a drummer with one arm is Def Leppard - Rick Allen. Nick Menza was their drummer from 1989 - 1998. Menza nearly suffered the loss of an arm in 2007, after having an accident with a power saw. He required reconstructive surgery and metal plates in his arm and a lengthy rehabilitation, but later recovered. He died in 2016 while preforming on stage of atherosclerotic, hypertensive-induced congestive heart failure. Menza was 51.

This album is full of great guitar solos. Dave Mustaine's voice always reminded me of the singer of Bad Brains.

The solo is blinding

Nick Menza, the drummer on this album and the next three albums after this, died in 2016. He was on stage playing with Ohm, a jazz/rock fusion band whose founder was Megadeth's first lead guitarist, Chris Poland. Poland and Menza never played together in Megadeth though. IMO Menza was a beast on drums. Loved his groove. Menza's father was a highly-respected jazz saxophonist named Don Menza. Don Menza played with the famous drummer Buddy Rich in his band.

Next song to check out has gotta be Holy Wars…the Punishment Due. Megadeth equivalent to Hallowed be Thy Name. The whole RIP is a classic that many metal heads (including myself) rank in their top 3 or at least 5 thrash albums. Peace Sells …but Whose Buying? Is another brilliant early Megadeth album.

Rust In Peace is a masterpiece from start to finisz. One of the Best thrash albums of ALL time

This album edges out Master Of Puppets as my favorite thrash album of all time. Definitely Megadeth at their peak with Marty Friedman on lead guitar.

After Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica in 1983, he formed Megadeth as a rival outfit to get revenge... he eventually made peace w/ them. Bassist David Ellefson was the original bassist. Gar Samuelson (drums) and Chris Poland (guitar) were the original band w/ Mustaine playing guitar & vocals. While Metallica was more Motorhead-meets-Diamond Head-meets-Venom in sonic delivery... Megadeth was Judas Priest-meets-Iron Maiden-meets-The Sex Pistols... they were much more technical w/ jazz fusion drumming and dual lead guitars, than Metallica. Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson were fired in 1987 for excessive drug abuse and hawking their equipment... Gar Samuelson passed away in 1999. In 1990, the 4th Megadeth album 'Rust in Peace' (this record) became a platinum record w/ Marty Friedman (guitar) and Nick Menza (drums)... that line-up recorded Megadeth's biggest albums from 1990 to 1998... Nick Menza was fired in '98. He passed away in 2016 at age 51 (R.I.P.) I would recommend a full reaction to Megadeth's 'Rust in Peace' album... it's a fan favorite (just like Metallica's is fan fave is 'Master of Puppets')... it does have one weird song - 'Dawn Patrol', which is a spoken-word w/ bass & drums only.

Apart from Rick Allen, of Def Leppard. I don't know any other one armed drummers. Pyromania and on through the night are their best albums oh and High n dry but rest is pop rock IMO

This song is about Mustaine’s drugs addiction. This album is a masterpiece, every song, every lyrics, every solo were placed in a perfect way. You have to react the whole album, to me it’s easily top 3 thrash albums of the history, if not the first one.

Just a little reminder SLAYER, SLAYER, SLAYER 🤘🤘🤘you cannot listen to thrash metal and not listen to the GODS "SLAYERRRRRRRRR". As for Megadeth Rust in Piece and Holy Wars are my faverit tracks from this album. I saw them live at Donington England this year and they CRUSHED IT.

Marty friedman and Dave Mustaine arguably the greatest guitar duo of all time even though I kinda prefer kiko loureiro but all megadeth guitarists are one the best metal guitarists ever. Megadeth my favourite band here some songs suggestions; Last Rites/Loved to deth, Killing is My Business and Business is Good, skull beneath the skin, good mourning black friday, holy wars, hanger 18, take no prisoners and the list goes on and on.
