The original writers planned on them getting married in S8 but were replaced and the new writers explicitly stated that they disliked them together and preferred Jackie with Fez (yikes). Unfortunately with how S7 ended it was too easy to keep them apart despite the actors disliking the decision. A lot of Zenmasters fans didn't watch past 8×01 and are still in denial (myself included). It was the first time I was so bitterly disappointed by a ship, especially considering both the fans and the cast was rooting for them. For years I was hoping for a fix-it season or movie but with Mila married to Ashton and all the fecked up mess with Danny I'd rather continue my denial... Sorry for a thesis in the comments haha long story short they should have been endgame and it's a crime they weren't. Also what a lovely fanvid and I'm glad someone still vids them after all these years :)

Ah thank you for the explanation, I was so confused with the ending considering how much development the two characters had with each other for them to just be separated. Think I might just join you in denial haha. I’m glad you liked the video anyway.

@@captaincygnus you're welcome. This show should come with a warning "do not watch past s7". I've yet to meet someone who genuinely enjoyed s8 and general fandom consensus was always to ignore its existence. I still think putting them together saved the show in later seasons. By end of S4 everybody was tired of the usual drama and show was losing steam. J/H gave it a necessary boost to keep old fans around and attract new ones. I've been on a nostalgia kick lately randomly netflixing some episodes and the most memorable ones are still those centred around these 2.
