Wow that was definitely an uncomfortable situation, but things like this can & do happen. It's a small world we live in, too small at times. The daughter handled this very maturely & respectfully to both her Mom & husband. It can be downright devastating when those who you love & trust betray you by keeping things hidden. There should be no room for secrets in any relationship, especially with those that are closest to you, such as spouse + family. I think that their marriage could still have a chance at surviving, but like the daughter said, it'll take time to heal. Finding out that her husband & Mom dated is a big deal & something that'll take time to process & absorb. I'm glad that she was able to forgive them both & at least understand why they kept this from her for as long as they had. It was only to protect her feelings, however, in doing so, it hurt her that much more! Many people go through these kinds of obstacles in family relationships, but at the end of the day, you really should put your best effort in to try to forgive. Life is too short & too precious to hold grudges against those you love the most!💕 When you stay angry, you are only hurting yourself, not the one who hurt you.
