[Synopsis]

What a jerk, he left his wife on their wedding night for his mistress. I have seen a clip where he gone crazy fighting against his brother for the throne. I think it’s karma or retribution for treating his wife poorly.

Im with the mom. In the beginning he chose to be with the crowned princess. No one forced him but now that there is someone else he just completely neglects his wife. Even if he doesn't love her, he doesn't have to treat her that way. There should still be a mutual respect. How's he going try to compare himself to his parents. His father didn't marry the mom and then abandon and neglect her for someone else. He is no kind of leader. Even some emperors with concubines show respect to their queens.

How is it sexist? I don't understand. Legitimately, I don't get it, so I'm not meaning to come off as rude. I feel that the empress has a point here because the crown prince IS treating his wife terribly, and Lady Yun is banking on the title of Princess Consort! In addition, a child born of a consort isn't considered the legitimate heir. He is a son of the emperor, sure, but Lady Yun isn't his legitimate wife, so the baby in her belly isn't considered an heir to his father's estates.
