Thanks for the video. I had my staples loaded incorrectly. 🙃Look on the side it shows how to lock the handle. You pull it out and depress the handle and it locks. Voila!

It actually does have a safety on it. Pull the handle down inward then down again to lock into place. 6:40

I have the same gun. Works great. And it’s not ridiculously hard to squeeze when you are working at awkward angles and over your head. Very rarely does it make me lift away when I shoot the staple. I was hoping to see someone shoot some brad nails with it though. That’s why I clicked lol. Good product review video other than that. The model I bought has the belt clip permanently attached and it’s steel. And also it does have a the trigger lock you wanted. Either you bought a few months ago and it’s already changed or you are in a different region

I’m having trouble with the model you have… I’m not sure I did the staples right, and I think it wants to stay locked

@@Coffeedrinker291 if you depress the trigger all the way it (the trigger lever) slides back and forth to lock and unlock. As far as the staples go, there is a list of interchangeable brands online or right on the box of staples. Stick to Husky brand is your best bet. Should shoot any T50 style staple.

How do you make it so a staple doesn’t go all the way in, like if you’re using it to nail in romex wire?

Thanks for watching. This tool doesn't do that. It will break the sheathing, besides this won't be a code compliant connection

Load and staple. Press the grip all the way and the first time don't point it at any unsafe direction.
