Sylvie is approximately 10 months old at the time of this video.
Huskies are said to be the hardest breed to train. Her instincts and impulses are strong, paired with selective hearing and an independent will. We try our best to train her, using her favourite treats and clear commands.
Despite this, this is the third time in 6 months she has eaten rubbish on a walk, and the third time we have had to call her into the emergency vet.
Apple cores, plastic wrap and this time, a crisp packet.
I am not trying to blame, but proper disposal of rubbish goes a long way in helping us train our dog. We walk the same path everyday to the local reserve that has beautiful bird species, and these too have suffered due to ingesting rubbish. We really don't want to muzzle her as it prevents giving her treats in training, but we may have to consider it.
A huge thanks to the vet nurses for treating her and giving her soothing cuddles.
See plenty of content (happier ones!) on her Facebook (Sylvie the Siberian Husky) and Instagram (sylvie_thesiberianhusky) pages.
Thanks for watching.
