That is a fine example of an improperly tuned saw. I run the same saw with a much bigger bar and smoke saws with more displacement on a daily basis

I have a 460 for fire wood my 288xp that is 87cc or my 372 xp that is 70.7cc would be the choice for that tree . Please sharpen your chain because it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard listening to this.

i run a 460 with a 24- and 20-inch bar Oregon power cut chains would have smoked this beach tree.

If that 460 is running at full throttle it is out of tune, and either the chain is quite dull, or came with the obnoxious vanguard bumper chain.
