Hey Steve. It sure did cut well, new saw, new chain really helps. It didn’t sound like it struggled anytime, and there’s plenty of power left after all those cuts. The battery saws really have a place eh. Super useful as the go to saw for most bucking tasks, but I’d stick to petrol saws for felling and big wood.

Yeah Chris it didn't struggle at all. The only thing you have to keep in mind is checking the bar oil. There is a window you can see the level you just need to regularly look at it. Not like a petrol saw where you top up the oil when you fill the tank. It only used one bar on the battery indicator. I had it out this evening cleaning up a large wattle that fell I hadn't charged it and managed to get a large portion of that cleaned up before it ran flat. It is definitely my go to saw now for most of my bucking work no fuel and fumes I will get a second battery. I'll keep the Husqvana 572xp for large wood. I didn't get to film tonight it was getting late and the light was pretty bad.

Hello. I have the Stihl MSA 300 for what I can see on your video seems like the MSA 300 with be fast, but I believe even with best battery witch I have, it with never last as long. Mine have 3 power settings using the battery AP500 however with a 16" blade cutting logs that is used about 80% of the blade I just got about 15 minutes cutting time, very short time. Yours seems slower but maybe is better. I hope Stihl comes with a better battery, because the machine itself the MSA300 is a joy and powerful machine.

Yeah you might be right I haven't seen the Stihl MSA 300 in action. I have the top of the line battery from Husqvarna the BLi 300 which is supposed to give the saw maximum power. The only power setting it has is eco which slows the revolutions down. I get about 30min of solid cutting. Battery technology is always improving so I'm sure Stihl will come out with better batteries. I don't get involved in the debate about which is the better saw as long as they do the job.

Nice saw, 👍😁 Try to bend your knees when cutting, sit down into the cut. You are keeping your legs straight and arching your back. You'll destroy yourself doing that over time.

@@bigbird130 The boxers stance is key, left leg in front of the right and a soft bend in the knees. Get in nice and close as well, 👍🪓🌲🇮🇪🇮🇪

Hey I use a gas saw for work and I find my hands are sore from the vibration at the end of the day. Does this saw have vibrations like a gas saw? Thanks.

Hi Dick. It's much less vibration but there is still some from the chain going through the wood.

In case of my chainsaws the Stihl 161T, 220C and MSA 300 and even this one with a 18" blade I don't feel much vibration, vibration and noise is no problem.

It’s a BLi300 which is the one that is supposed to give you the extra power. I’m going to get a second one as this is becoming my go to saw.

@@bigbird130 Not bad I pay 420 Eur. for each AP500S batteries in Spain and the MSA300 I buy it online from a Stihl dealer in Holland and I pay 790 Eur.
