I notice you don't hand start screws and I wonder how many time the threads get crossed and stripped using the impact driver?
@TheGreasyShopRag8 күн бұрын
It happens. Maybe 1 in 75 or 100? The nice thing about that driver is the very controllable variable speed in the rocker trigger. I can easily start slow and if I feel ugliness I just press the other side of the rocker to back out till the threads set then hit it again. Other drivers I've used are not as user friendly.

Nice job. Do you have a website or link for the combi upper shaft assemble piece?

Sorry, no. We do not sell new parts online.

Can you share the link to where you bought the assembly unit? My upper and lower shafts are separated and they're impossible to reattach.

All the work you see in these videos is performed at a Husqvarna dealership. We buy directly from Husqvarna as a dealer.

I've got a 326 P5 that has a frozen driveshaft. It sheared the key in the flywheel. Got it running again but obviously not working since the shaft is frozen. Any tips on getting the clutch drum separated from the driveshaft?
@TheGreasyShopRag7 ай бұрын
Not sure what is frozen in the shaft. Are you aware that the shaft threads into the clutch drum on that model?

Great video but my 327pt5s stopped turning the chain. Does the replacement drive shaft come in 2 pieces. I made sure the engine turns the shaft. My thinking is the drive shaft is one piece and the outer sleeve slide up and down the drive shaft.
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
The 327 is similar to the 525. They both have adapters on each end that can shear. The drive shaft is in two individual pieces, each piece part of either the upper or lower shaft assy.

@@TheGreasyShopRag thanks I will shoot you a pic tomorrow of the actual shaft o

It won’t let me insert a pic but I feel sure the hex shaped drive shaft is broken. The shaft it goes in is a 2 piece but the hex shaft is in 2 pieces
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
@@wakeboy3 I think I follow you and yes it does sound like its broken although I've never seen the shaft itself break. Usually the adapters break.

That job was easier than I thought. Maybe a good mechanic makes it look easy.👍

Thats why I replace the whole tube assembly. To replace individual parts can sometimes be a royal pain in the butt.

Can i replace 2 outer tubes and not the shaft
@TheGreasyShopRag4 ай бұрын
All individual parts are avaiable but in many cases the cost to replace parts is close to replacing the whole shaft. This is certainly true if you're paying someone to do it.

where can i order a Husqvarna 327PT5S Telescope Pole assembly. Can't find it anywhere??
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
That part is no longer available from Husky. I've never tried putting a newer pole assy on that unit so I can't be any help to you.

@@TheGreasyShopRag I have a 327pt5s that kicks out of gear and the eng will rev up but chain will not run.
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
@@steveolds8973 The first thing to check is if the twist lock coupler is fully seated on the bottom tube. Loosen the retaining screws and see if it will push further onto the tube. You can then check the coupler on the lower end near power head as well.

Where did you order this shaft from?
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
Husqvarna. I know they were on back order forever but don't remember if that was before or after I filmed this. I haven't needed one in a while so I'm not sure of their availability.

You've been told eh? They sure like their centering screws
@TheGreasyShopRag2 жыл бұрын
I've seen a lot of equipment come through where the customer complains the (trimmer head, saw head, etc) won't turn. I may have called it a centering screw but its also a depth gauge so you'll know the shaft is connected. Hmmm, that would have been something to mention in the video.
