Husqvarna XC 250 Vintage Motocross | FocusOnDetailing | HD
I finally decided it was time to make a video dedicated to my original 1983 Husqvarna xc250. This old beast of a 2 stroke was a bit of a mix between the CR and the WR of the same era that Husqvarna released. Having the wide ratio 6 speed there's not much space around where I live on the blocks where I can really get it up to top gear to stretch its legs but wrapping the throttle around and out of the corners is still a thrill. As old as this thing is it still provides a fun ride that gets plenty of attention due to how rare it is now and how it stands out from the rest when brought to a track.
I've had it for quite a few years now and during that time I've restored a few things including respraying the frame and forks, dent removal and respraying the original metal tank, soda blasting and respraying the engine and expansion chamber, new piston, new chain there's lot more to go. It's a slow process but still enjoyable to fix up.
Other bikes that are apart of our collection are the Yamaha tt500, Honda xr500 and newly purchased Yamaha yz125. All of which are fun in their own right to take out for a spin!

@@focusondetailing3855 i could be wrong but i thought the 82 cylinder was unpainted and 83 was..i have an 81,82 and 83 250, the 81 and 83 both have black fins the 82 are unpainted

@@mikeindel These bikes are old enough now that all sorts of things can be "off" even with the original parts. Someone in 1991 could have decided to sandblast the paint off because he read it cooled better that way. Fundamentally, 82 and 83 are the same engine anyway, except perhaps for some minor port changes. The basic engine Husky introduced in 81 for the 430 (then 250 in 82) was the last new engine platform they ever designed before the company got bought. Fwiw, my 82 CR has an unpainted cylinder.

They were the same Motor as far as I know, and a bit of paint doesn't change the motor. The 81 motor was different, but the 82/83 are the same. It was the frame that changed in 83, and the White paint job, not the motor.
