Compressed air dryers are used to dry the air after it leaves the air compressor. Because the air leaves the compressor hot it will condensate in the air lines and that can result in moisture in your paint gun or whatever your using the compressed air for.

407C is actually a pretty common refrigerant for chillers, at least in Germany in come across a lot of them build in the early 2010s. Aermec, Airwell and Galletti used it a lot.

I think the company needs to ditch the sand blasting and switch to laser ablation.

Those air dryers will have a hot gas bypass valve built into the refrigeration side because it has no way of knowing when air is being used or it’s not. So it needs a way to put a artificial load on the refrigeration side during times of low air demand.

The DRN alarm triggers annually on run time. Once a year. You hold reset for like 10 seconds. Its to be sure customer gets a tech out yearly to check the machine. You take the top off the drain valve. Hold reset and it will clear alarm. install top of drain valve done.

the test pressure loss of 1psi over 15 minutes, is either lack of temperature or voltage compensation. then again it's not many-thousand dollar lab test gear 🤣🤣
