Yah this was the tekken tag for the ps2 it was released years after t3. The arcade version of tag was only a slight imrovement since it still used T3s engine 😁. Im stil more used to the arcade version though.

Tbh the character models look better than T4 even. It's pretty crazy how good tag looked when it came out. I had seen it in magazines and was blown away, but when I saw it in motion at launch, I knew I had to get a PS2 asap

He didn't, they just didn't have time to properly model each character with distinguishable proportions and gave him a standard body (with little to no tweaking) like all other male characters.

Yea him and alot of others i didnt really like it bc the idea of taekwondo is ur supposed to be quick and agile and its hard to believe a guy built like a bodybuilder could do that well. More muscle mass works on guys like marduk, king, or even jin but not so much on the quicker fighters like hwoarang or law

@@Nas97. Exactly, a lot of martial arts training doesn't focus on building muscle mass. Idk I think they had a grasp of that aspect in tekken 3/tag1 up to tekken 6 then they went for stylized anime art direction

@@Nas97.not hard to believe when you have guys like Michael Jai White, Scott Atkins, Samo Hung etc and myself out here that are agile with a bigger frame. Hence Bob. It's just rare to see. However you're right that it doesn't fit Hwoarang specifically because it's not the narrative they were going for with him like they were with a character like Bob. I think it was more of a flaw/lazy part of the male character models overall than Hwoarang himself. Even Law, Feng etc got jacked af in certain Tekkens and the same happened even to a character like Dhalsim in SF where he got big af for no reason 😅 trippin

4th Dan in Tae Kwon Do in T3. T8, He's wearing the stripes for an 8th Dan. That's a believable progression for 27 years of training time.

So at 19, he was a 4th Dan. In T8, at 22, he’s a 8th Dan. Considering the universe he’s from, he had to have been training hard almost every other day since he was at least 5 or 6yrs old. Even then, that’s insane.

I really REALLY hated all the designs of Tekken 4. That is probably why it sold the least amount of copies in the entire franchise (not including the first one.)

Tekken 4 had my favorite designs. Tekken has the Dragonball Super/GT conflict. Some of us like major progressive changes in design other like minor conservative tweaks.

One of my first personal video game crushes, Mmm those Tekken 3 days haha. He really translated quite nicely over the series though his Tekken 4 look with the longer hair is still one of my most favorites. Army alternate looked cool as well. And of course, such a fun character to play.

@@monotypical_ I think facially Hwoarang looked great in Tekken 5 but I hated his outfit and I much preferred the "biker cowboy" look he got in Tekken 6 lol In Tekken 8 he looks very different, I'm not sure how I feel about his look because I'm so used to his wild spiky hair he had for so long lol.
