I think it's about going after your dreams but getting lost in the pursuit, becoming someone you don't know anymore and living out a life that you didn't exactly imagine for yourself. At that time, on a drunken but sobering night, you just want to go back to who you were when you weren't lost. For a lot of people that is home, where you grew up and where your mom comforted you and shielded you from the outside world.
