Those naughty chewing animals! How bad are they. The chickens are so wonderful to hear ❤

Yes, the gophers are so annoying. After gardening here for 20 plus years they show up. They are thick here and I keep hoping a gopher snake family shows up to help keep the population under control.

That is awesome! Finding little critters is so fun and being outside is such a privelege. I couldn't handle working in an office space that did not have windows or the ability to get outside for a break.

@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse I understand what you mean. Being inside is such a different energy. A window is essential 😃. I just nipped out to plant some little things. A bit of this and that.

I hope you can save your hydrangeas. I bet they will do well in pots. That was a great idea to revive them. They are pretty tough plants. Good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing how they do.

It is worth a shot, they are so gorgeous in bloom. So far so good on these, they don't look anymore stressed than when I moved them.

I was laughing as I was wondering how much more you were going to pull out of that magician’s hat back there 😂 I was given a hydrangea and it’s doing ok. The roosters keep arranging the chips around it-need a low fence and they will stay out, but the plant may need more sun. Last year the deer tasted it when we had drought. Another issue is the snow lands there and good thing they bloom on new growth. I’ve been trimming back spent blooms on roses and perennials. The blessed J beetles are starting and nestling in roses. Need to get Milky Spore distributed through flower garden as we have a mole that is after the beetles emerging. That stuff works as they are nowhere in the area I used it years ago. I have my hydrangea on the NE corner of the house. It doesn’t get a lot of daytime sun. I’ve noticed the painted daisy was Really leaning to reach the sun, but that darn plant didn’t like the east morning sun as it always was shriveling. Could be that side is always dry also. The tree roots suck all the moisture. 😂😂I already commented before you mentioned the beetles😂😂.

So far I have not found another but I keep looking. I knew my J beetle freedom wouldn't last forever.

Great job, it was the bees knees. The amount of pests you guys in the states have to deal with is a lot more of a challenge than we have here in Ireland. Really hope your hydrangeas come back strong and be planted back out in your beautiful garden.

Im definitely feeling like getting another hydrangea now,i would like a climbing one,some have a wild plant look don't they.? I really do hope that yours get so pleased with their new pot and siol ,thry will just get going well.i love that you do help revive your plants and not just toss them,.😊hello to those happy laying chickens, i love to here them in your films.very happy comforting sound,,thankyou pam, im going to get on with mine today ☺, have a lovely Thursday xxfrom xxfrom me and my garden girls 🐔. I have killed soooo many hydrangeas, 12 at least at my property of 15 years. My only way to have the 7 that I have know is growing them in pots and I overwinter them in my outbuilding off the concrete floor. I am zone 6a with terrible soil that I have been trying to amend for years. I can move them around as light is needed for their type. They are smooth leaf macrophyllas by PW and others.

I wanted to try the panicle hydrangeas as the macrophyllia flowers get froze off in your freaky springs. So far, Zinfin Doll is the one that performs the best but they have discontinued carrying it for some reason.

Pam I find that the mountain hydrangeas are so much more beautiful but they too can be temperamental and need watered daily if in full sun. I have some hydrangeas that I moved to shadier spot and they do much better. I really am not happy with my incrediball hydrangea because it flops no matter what I did so this year I did the Chelsea chop and it is half the size. I may not get the big blooms but I cannot stand flopping plants. Those foxglove behind you the purple ones are AMAZING, so tall. Can you tell me the variety? Always blame it all on the gophers. LOL
@FlowerPatchFarmhouse
@FlowerPatchFarmhouse Ай бұрын
LOL. It is the gophers, I swear it isn't me! The foxglove is a self seeded one so I cannot give you a name. I have had self seeding foxgloves for 20 years. I will tell you I have planted Excelsior mix before, and others like Suttons Apricot, Pam's Choice, a Pure White one I can't remember the name of and more. So it is a cross of many. Sorry I could not be more specific. It is most likely related to the ones in this video as it is in the same spot: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rqmGh8iSzdPdZYE.htmlsi=3b1PlfqYyH_TWG5u

I like a lot of your plants in your garden, but to be honest I think it needs a lot of weeding because it just looks heavily overgrown, I am not trying to be mean or anything but your whole garden looks like that it takes from its beauty.

I hear you! No offense taken. I get to it as I can and still keep it enjoyable. The Secret Garden, the one in this video, is still under way but you can see by my garden tours that the rose and entrance gardens are a bit tidier. Like many I cannot spend all my time in the garden keeping it pristine so I accept the less than tidy look and focus on the beauty. That is the reality of gardening when it isn't your full time job and I hope seeing it thus, will inspire others to just enjoy without worrying about it being perfect. Gardening is supposed to be relaxing not another task on the list.

Yazmin I don't know how long you have been gardening or if you garden at all but Pam's garden is the way most gardeners are, we start a project, we see something else that needs our immediate attention, we have seeds to nurture, we have plants we bought that need watering, we have other jobs, Pam does these videos almost daily. I am sure if she wasn't producing such helpful and informative videos that her garden would be neater but it is lovely and real and she is in touch with the earth, her spirit and all of us viewers and that is a gift.

@@yazmin444 None taken, sometimes I feel the same way about it then I remind myself that it is supposed to be joyful and to be kind to myself. Unlike others, whom I enjoy watching too, I don't have a crew helping me. Its just me myself and I doing everything. If you think my garden is messy you should see my house right now. 😂

@@kater8730 Kate you are right things in the garden can be hard to accomplish, I made that comment without meaning any harm I promise you that, I enjoy and learn from her videos, she is very talented. is just that the weeds take away a lot from the beauty of her garden, but I understand that there is no time to do many things that we wish to do in the garden, I have been gardening for many years and work full time. I do gardening for relaxation purposes thank you.
