Looks amazing! Your tip about the sun burning leaves that are wet has been proven a myth for some time now, so don't get to worried about that!

You are correct. I’ve been watering mine with our spray irrigation for years. Never had a problem with burning.

I'm in Michigan I already planted my endless summer last week we had high 70s this week 40s 1 of them is wilting out of the 4. are they cold should I bring them in or cover with burlap? I'm new to this.

I’m in florida with sand for soil I have some endless summer but the are in pots I’m afraid to put in ground because most of my plants don’t do well in ground so can you tell what kind of soil to use to plant ny hydrangea in the ground and I like the purple color can you direct me what to do thanks

How do they do so well in full sun?? We have hydrangeas on every side of the house but the only ones that ever bloom (in 20+ years) are the ones that get partial sun partial shade. I'd love to know what fertilizers she uses...

A year later and I’m wondering the same thing. I think it helps that theirs are established specimens with good roots and that the maximum daytime temps in Cape Cod during the summer don’t really go above 25°C. Doubt they look this good during heatwaves. Thick layer of mulch, frequent irrigation, soil amendment and patience seems to be key here. My theory is that adding Mycorrhizae fungi to the roots when planting would also improve sun tolerance as it basically grows an extra root system the plant, boosting its ability to absorb water. Tho I haven’t tested this approach yet. Also some Mophead Hydrangeas tolerate full sun better than others (in climates with milder summer temps). Mathilde Gutges, Red Baron, Renate Steiniger, Bodensee, Xian and ES Summer Crush have good sun tolerance.
