Pleased to see I'm not the only one who uses acetone, q-tips, chrome paste and 4x0000 wire wool to clean these things up! Another informative video Norm - best of luck with the chain belt, I thought those things were good for the life of the bike....but like you said, if you're in there already, you may as well do it for peace of mind. 👍

I just did mine 4 months ago. That third bolt on mine required the loosening of the exhaust header, and moving it slightly to the side. Some say they didn’t have to do it that way, but I did.

Hi Dave, This bike had sat a long time. That is hard on it. Gaskets get hard, grease gets dry and rubber starts to crack. It's a work in progress. Thank you for your comment. Norman.

Be more concerned about the water pump bearings, fella. Never heard of the belt snapping on these. It's usually the water pump failure that breaks the belt.
