Learn a bunch from your videos, thanks. Now for the lack of a shield over the u-joint. As a farmer I have a friend that was wound around a non shielded pto shaft, his pant leg was caught in the u-joint which drew him in and around the pto shaft. Broke his left leg in 6 places, right arm 3 places. His brother jumped off a 14 layer hay stack in stop the pto shaft. This was in the late 60s. The pto shaft was 24" off the ground giving room for his body to rotate around many times before it was stopped. His brother still suffers hip problems from the jump. Where there is not much room around the pto, it would wrap your leg several times before severing the leg.

Yep, it’ll sling a person around and break every bone in the body, then kill ya. We still lose a farmer Dr/tractor driver on occasion in the valley. I have a 6” pipe guard on the driveshaft on my pump engine that runs about 3000 rpm. I sure hope he covers that u-joint and shaft befor it undresses him.

I love your videos. SO, PLEASE FABRICATE a cover shroud for the pumps driveshaft and especially that U Joint. It's a KILLER!!! I had a very good friend who was delivering LP Gas to an address last winter. There was some kind of problem under his truck. I'm not sure what the problem was. BUT, He had crawled under his truck and got his sleeve caught in the U Joint on the Pumps Driveshaft. The result was that it Tore his right arm almost totally off. They figured that the pump was the problem, is why he was under the truck. Since the house was so far off the road, and there was no one at home at the time. No one Heard him or even was able to see his truck. The company figured that he was stuck in that position for over 5 hours, until another truck was dispatched to the last address of the GPS Signal. Investigators said by the size of and the amount of blood that had pooled in the snow, that he was probably alive for possibly 45 - 60 minutes. So PLEASE INSTALL A SHIELD. I'm sure the rest of your viewers want to continue go enjoy YOUR Videos.

That’s a pretty cool thing. Now I know what fracking is. I’ve been around a number of drillers and heard them talking about fracking but never have I seen it actually happen. Years ago my dad dinamited a hole he drilled with a core drilling rig, got good water. Thanks for the education. You know the other day I tried to use my educational benefit from the military and was denied because of my age. I was pissed off and said I aint dead yet and left. I figured out that I want to keep on learning till the day I die. So sorry I vented on you. It’ll probably bother me for a while. Thanks

Just a quick suggestion from a performance guy that has built everything from a race car to a old farm all with a for v-8 car engine,, something to do to get temperature down is the fan shroud you have it all the way from the radiator to the engine so you are actually making that fan rob power from the engine and make it run hoter!!! 1st it's building pressure in the housing making the fan have drag on both sides of each blade robing power I have seen 12+ hp lost on the dyno testing fan inclosers ... And 2nd big thing is the older fan blades are made to only have about half of the width of the blade be in the fan housing and the bad half of the blade out of the back of the fan shroud it can have the hole blade in the shroud but it will cut down the air flow.. if you try this out I can generate you that the air flow will be 80 percent better.. and when you get the cooling system working correctly you should be able to run that engine wide open for a hour + with out a temperature problem.. bur every thing has to be correctly done, radiator and blade, shroud, engine Timing, carb jetting, good gas 91-93 Oct premium...

was a driller and pump installer in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota and I gotta say I've never had to frack a well. Had some deep wells like Bong airforce base that were almost 2000 feet deep, and some of the commercial and Industrial wells got up to 24 inches in diameter, but we always sunk everything in bedrock. We have great water table up here. Can even do drill & drives!

I'm in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. My well and my neighbor's well close by were drilled to 455' in 1994. After 15' of ledger rock they were solid green granite with no strata changes. Both were dry for 6 months. Then they began producing 2/3 pt/minute. These are vacation cabins so this 125 gallons/day has never run dry. But we don't push our luck by watering the plants, pressure watering or car washing. Always wondered if that minimum flow could be increased. A neighbor 1000' above us gets 75gpm. Go figure. Thanks for the great content.

Impressive. Never heard of fracking for water well before. I am in New Mexico. Our well is 360' deep. Absolutely delicious water. Lots of rocks were encountered in the drill. We are on the alluvial fan ( Foothill Slope) of the mountain in our back yard. Total drill time was about 8 hours. Fascinating to see the process. The two man crew were efficient & answered all of my novice questions. The driller had constant hand on the pipe feeling it as it went. Very cool stuff.

That well had the same numbers as mine for depth and flow. Far NE Washington state. Pure limestone. I was skeptical but had to do something to improve flow. I believe the company used compressed air instead of water. The result was good. We now keep a 2000 gallon cistern full and the wife is happy that she can shower anytime without problems. Cost was near $6000 but that included about $1500 to bring in a drop hammer rig to break through a cave in. That was unexpected.

At my parents house 25 years ago it was on well water. We had 2 shallow wells washed down 25ft and another 35 ft 1-1/2 line. Had great water no smell and tasted great. Then a 1/2 acre pond was dug 800yards away and we lost water and when dropping 75ft nothing and 120 ft nothing. But the neighbors was a 125ft maybe 70yards away had no problem but his smelled like sufer and was slimy. So we went to the other side of the acre and we went 55ft hit water but was rusty and on other line 6 inches over went 115ft just at the top of bed rock and had rust water. We went to city water after it was fed down our way 3 years later.

25+ years in oil and gas here (including Coal Bed Methane). We called that "Enhancing" as our version of fracking also injects a proppant (sand or something to hold the fractures open afterwards). We couldn't frack in the water formations for Coal Bed Methane production. After a short while, when all the injected water was sucked out, the well's water production would eventually return to its prior level because nothing was there to hold the fractures open. I'd be interested in seeing your results after the well runs for a couple months. That's the real test.

Interesting, I used to operate a frack rig for Dowell back in the day. Similar concept, but wondered what downhole strata he was fracking or was it just an open hole and it fracked anything below the packer. When we fracked oil wells, we would frack the oil bearing strata and watch the pressure gages ( sometimes 10-15k psi) it would peak and then fall off, at that point we knew the rock had opened up and then we would pump a propping agent to hold the cracks open. Fascinating process!

This was cool. Do you know if anyone in NW Texas (aka the TX Panhandle) is using this method on irrigation wells? I wouldn't mind trying it on a couple to see if it would help the water production on some weaker wells.

In wells in NW Texas I have had a few wells to fracture from loose formation. The bore is drilled into loose sand or sandstone or silt layers. This material has to flow to the surface by not fracturing. If the wall should loose water pressure the drill stem could be lost from a cave in. Small gravel is placed between the casing and formation. It is too expensive to put much gravel for large water flow into the formation like gas or oil wells.

@@robertreznik9330 OK, thanks for answering. We have made several different attempts of opening these wells up, but I'm always on the lookout for the next idea. The most from all our attempts at improvement lasted one season of pumping. These wells are run 24/7 for 3-4 months to raise corn crops. To use less water we went to wheat production which splits the irrigation season in two leaving time over winter for recharge. One co tried brushing the insides with unraveled heavy cable, using up and down motion after pretreating with acid on some wells. That cleaned up the rusted shut slits (perferations) in the casing that tend to get blocked by small gravel. Another co tried air blasting below the water level attempting to open up new channels. That worked best, but was too costly to do annually. Guess i forgot to mention that these are mostly 8" wells drilled to redbed into the Ogallala Aquifer. When they're bailed out some rocks as large as 1 1/2 inches come up but it's mostly small gravel and a little coarse sand. These wells were producing 1200 gpm in the 1980s, but have steadily fallen off since 2005, until they're now pumping 150 to 300 gpm. In the last 10 yrs we've switched over from 100 and 125 hp vhs electric motors to 30 - 40 hp subs. I've spent around a quarter million trying different methods to improve water production. A veteran pump repair company owner told me the older wells, dug 50 - 75 yrs ago will always out yield newer wells. That has been my observation as well. Some time in the 1980s drillers stopped going through all the standard processes known to develop wells in the manner first generation drillers in the area had done. We drilled an 8" well in 1981 which should have produced 1000 gpm, but we never got over 750 gpm out of it.

If you take the nut off top of your ball valve the handle will pull off then you can either bend it up or spin it around and put it back on
