AM Pressure Washing Mark Sullins got his hands on a HYDRO Tek's Surface Cleaner. Noticed the Surface Cleaner could use a little upgrade and that he did! Modifying the Surface Cleaner to not have swivels and to have more strength to get the job done!

Hey guys, Camera guy here, the footage we have of recording us
installing the aluminum plate, sanding and smoothing it out,
cutting through and installing bolts for the surface cleaner
all that footage was lost due to a sim card error, we are apologizing advanced, and we have it resolved.

All Pressure Washing Skids include a pressure gauge on the pump, Hudson
float valve inside the tank to shut off the water, 300' ft. of two strand
pressure hose, Honda GX 200 Engine, AR Pump, Aluminum deck, Reelcraft
Hose Reel, and Ronco Water Tanks. This is a heavy duty build commercial

Facts! 💯 Mark, you did this for me with the first surface cleaner I bought from you. The pace I am able to walk with your modifications is truly way above what I am able to walk with factory built surface cleaners. You are the Man Mark! Keep inovating!

You mentioned that you are cleaning shopping centers with that setup and that you are able to move pretty much at a normal walking pace. What is the GPM of your pressure washer and what tips do you typically install on the 24" surface cleaner for concrete? And Hot or Cold water??

I install what ever gpm tip your pump is on your pressure washer. For instance a 4 gpm pump I install 2.0 gpm at 40 degree tips.

The other modification I do is I don't even put a gun on my Surface Cleaner

Yes that's all I use, a 3/8 nipple- DN10- Mosmatic swivel- 3/8 coupler. I also generally run nipples- away from pump and couplers towards the pump this way when dragging the hose around the yard the coupler won't catch on anything.

Raising the bar and fitting 40 degree jets may work for easy concrete jobs in the states. You are actually reducing the pressure and cleaning power. I guarantee this would be detrimental to block paving cleaning in the U.K....all common sense🤷‍♂️

The degrees do not have anything to do with psi or gpm ??? Common sense 🤔

If you increase the distance from the surface and spread the fan of water the cleaning power is reduced. I'm not saying it affects the gpm. What your doing will work on easy concrete like you say it enables you to work quicker but when cleaning block paving full of moss in the joints you have no chance.

Yep there is a reason they are made the way they are. Wider angle equals less cleaning power, increase distance from tip to surface equals less cleaning power. Nothing is for free. I’m all for doing what you need, and if that works for you, great.
