I am a bit surprised to see that you are using so little nutrient solution. I know lettuce is a bit of a light feeder but I would think that it would use a bit more than that. I will have to watch your next video and see how they turn out :) I'm sure that they will grow just fine but am wondering if they would have put on a bit more growth if they had a bit more nutrient. One thing I have found that really helps my plants is to take water from the reservoir for the first week and water from above. If I am growing all the same thing it is no issue but when I grow things that grow at different speeds I have found it can keep the slower growing plants roots growing enough to catch up. I know this completely defeats the purpose of DWC or Kratky systems :)

Hey Jay. Thanks for the update. Again great video. I'm doing almost the exact same thing your doing but I have a much smaller system and I'm growing Parris Island Romaine Lettuce and Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch Kale. The lettuce and kale have been in the reservoir for about a week and showing great results. I'm also using the pH strips and plan on getting a meter as well. Your pak choi and Caesar lettuce look great. I have done reading on hydroponics but I want to thank you for all your advice in your videos. It has helped simplify a lot of things. Keep up with the great videos and I look forward to future updates.

You can increase the acidity or alkalinity using kitchen ingredients and save your self some headache. Vinegar is highly acidic so you can use white vinegar to lower the ph and to raise it you can add baking soda to raise the ph.

Nice job. If your floor sloped towards the way I can see the front plants not getting the nutrients but most floors slope towards the middle of the room so there goes my theory! LOL I hope all turns out well for you. Still thinking about trying this method. Tim
