My analysis : 1 was tough young in love - Sistar Debut ? 2 was summer where i felt too much - Sistar Summer Songs ? 3 was all lonely nights - Sistar disbandment ? 4 was the one I thought would last for life - New image with Dally ? under one-man company ? 5 went fast broke me slow - people put hate on her performance during the drama awards ? 6 led to 7 then i let them go - the bully accusation ? (which is so fcked up) and here's my final chance Tonight - She tried again to do what she love and passionate about, Music. Here she is with her new songs. Ughh I Love Hyolyn so much !

For me, 1 - 7 felt like her entry to the entertainment industry until sistar disbanded. Like 1 was her trainee days up til sistar debut, 4 was their continuous success and their group labeled summer queens, 5 was when she was slowly overworked to the point of her voice started breaking and straining, 6 was insane love days, 7 was their disbandment... might just be me tho.

Yes! Not only does she have a 'great voice' in terms of range etc. but more importantly the way she can express herself through her voice is amazing. That takes a huge amount of control and expertise, but at the same time it just has to flow naturally... the singer really has to be feeling it so the audience can feel it. Hyolyn is one of my favourite pop singers from anywhere in the world because of this special quality her voice has... so smooth, almost airy at times, but still with depth and texture, effortlessly powerful and so infused with emotion, soaring one moment and whispering the next. Sorry I didn't mean to write a whole paragraph there but DAMN Hyolyn is just the whole package 😍

Hyolyn is not underrated. You type of international fans need to stop. She still gets booked in korea for more events compared to all those you mentioned. Hyolyn is also known as one of the best singers in Korea. Now for the others: Hyuna is still very much liked despite what happened with Cube. Sunmi is doing very well that’s for sure. Only one no one is really caring much for is Jessi.

We are now in an era where people are starting to break norms and korean beauty standards. Hyorin was one of the earliest, if not the first idol, to break these standards by boldy flaunting a tan skin and tattoos. I hope people supported her more now, like how they loved Hwasa and Jessi for their unique and exotic beauty. Hyorin is like the best personification of beauty, passion for her craft and superb TALENT. Forever supporting her.

The fact that news that the person that accused Hyolyn bullying actually was the real bully got buried is sad. Her classmates defended Hyolyn and k netz still bully hyolyn. It's so sad. When I praise the song, I praise how amazing the artist is. I see all the love poured for them, praise given to them, and it feels so fake? Like they're praising them not knowing what they're doing. They're praising them for someone else to feel how great they are? When I want to praise someone who sings and performs, it's not because they did this and that or they wrote the song or they're great for whatever. That's my perception of what's great in my eyes, which could be stifling for an artist to keep up to. I am projecting my ideals on to the artist while they get praised in a stifling way. They keep up to all what the public wants from them, what they look up to them for - their looks, their lyric writing, their energy, their rap, style.. Everyone loves them for one thing, how cool they are. How well they woo everyone. How well they get the spotlight. All everyone looks for is how cool someone is or how awkward someone is. When I love someone who sings and dances... It's not because they are better than someone else. How there are loads of artists and how watching them is like entertainment to me, like binge eating junk. I just love them. I just love how they express. I don't understand why singing and dancing has become an industry, it's not a competition on who is so awestriking and who else can beat them to rise to the top for fame. It's an art form. So when I praise an artist, I don't praise them for how awesome they are. I thank them for what they put out. I already love them in my body for being born.

I believe a part of it has to do with her bullying history. She was a bully back in high school I think. Esp now with AoA Mina making headlines as the bully victim, can't expect idols who are/were bullies to be well received.
