Tterraj, first of all, I know its been a few years since this video came out and dont know if you'd still read it, but i still want to thank you for this amazing and enjoyable commentary and share my experience with it :) When i first searched on youtube about tips and secrets on the game i kept wondering why hour-long videos keep being the first result and thought that i didnt want to sit through hours of gameplay just to get what i want, but eventually got to start watching it anyways. I thought i was just going to see a normal gameplay video about the secrets of parts of the game but instead i was met with, well, a friend, i basically played the entire game while watching your gameplay, alt-tabbing between the browser and the game, it felt like i was playing with someone instead of following a guide (there even were times where i tried to compete with your boss fights and platforming hahaha) I know it seems like im just being too emotional about this for likes but i dont care about that, i really just wanted to let you know about how magical this game felt because of your videos and thats one hell of an experience that i definitely didnt expect when i bought the game. Your gameplay videos got me invested in the world of hyper light drifter, from sharing your favorite view in the game to watching the ending. Aye man im sending this message probably 30 minutes after finishing the game. I just wanted to let you know that you helped me enjoy this game to its fullest. When i had this game for the switch and i started on the east side and was stuck, i almost gave up. I didnt play it for maybe 6 months. Then i decided i was going to finish it but just use some help from youtube. Well i met this channel and i used all your videos. Youre commentary throughout the game was also nice when i played this alone in my freetime. 800 dash challenge still a thing on consoles, and no way to do it any other way than circling with the thumbsticks. It's doable, I was able to get it done both on my original game and my NG+, but it's pretty intense. Feels nice to be part of the 3% who were able to do it with a controller.

Thanks for the .2-.3 second tip on the chain dash. I had heard elsewhere to use 3.5 taps per second. 4 definitely worked better. I found a metronome at 240bpm and got it first try after trying for an hour yesterday.

Thanks for that tip in dash room. My record on g amepad is 176. When I saw that progress bar moving really slow after reach 100 I just give up. PS. Last boss is incredible easy. Special or normal shotgun, special laser rifle and reflecting bullets and we beat him in few seconds. We don't even need dodging attacks.

These were amazing guides! I always used them if I was missing a key or a power module. One thing is nagging me ever since a more recent update though: does the Alt Drifter have a "campfire scene" that you get after beating the game? I know you couldn't cover this, since the alt drifter wasn't released when you made these guides, but i'm still interested if anyone has seen it.

I just found your channel this week and I think you should consider doing other games when you can, i'd love to keep following you :) I even have a few suggestions you could try (in case you haven't) You'd love: Transistor (has a similar feel to this game), Bastion, Child of Light, and Undertale (this one is more of a story game). On a side-note Breath of Fire IV is my favorite game ever, and i'd enjoy watching you play it; but it's kind of one of those hidden gems of the PS1 if you were to try it.

Lol I got the dash eternal achievement on ps4 by having my buddy control the left analog stick to go in circles and all I had to do was close my eyes and concentrate on tapping x. Hopefully that helps someone.

Finally! I was waiting for you to release this one, been following your other vids for the stuff I couldnt find. Ended up missing 2 bits, one of them was #34 from the 100% guide like you, then I went after these 9 from the patch (pre-patch save), backtracked all areas about 4 or 5 times, still can't find the last one. Hoping to find it here :P PS: Is there a way to figure out which one I'm missing from the game save data? I gave it a look and it seems a lot of stuff is tracked via events :/

I've been watching several videos you recorded for HLD, all of which are splendid. Also I didn't know there's this brilliant trick you can manoeuvre for the 800 dash chain achievement. I myself have become a huge fan of this game and I just searched for your Steam account on a whim and sent a friend invitation, haha. I don't know whether you accept this kind of random Steam friend request, but never mind if you don't.

I got the achievement with 184. All upgrades + 6 gearbytes. I am so glad I finally got it - thanks so much I am definitely subbing :D

So it seems that a lot of people, after following your guides, are still missing 2 gearbits. I assume it's the same 2 because that number is consistent. Has anybody figured out where they are?

there's a 333ms delay between first and second dash, and 233ms delay between every dash thereafter. you can set up a macro and walk away for a few minutes to get your 800 super easy

the dash challenge is 120bpm, so its good to find a song in 120bpm to keep rhythm to

i ran into a problem, i went to get that fuschia set and when the 'get' animation appeared it showed the gree/blue set which i had already gotten. went to my room and there was no fuschia set.... help!?

For some reason, the drifter was still alive when my brother revisited his profile. I told him to visit it before doing ng+ to see his reaction to it. Somehow, the save file booted up before the boss. I'm trying to find a reason behind this, but I can't find one.

(I haven't finished the video) do you know if the update moved some of the outfit locations? in your western walkthrough, you said there was a key door that held a single gear bit and the golden set; but when I went to the east, I found the gold set

This cutscene should be a secret area in hyper light breaker or in ending

This game truly rewards dedication and exploration, but I don't have the patience to beat the arena or chain-dash 800 times in a row. Seriously waiting for someone to upload a 100% save file just so I can play around with all the gear, upgrades, etc.

Damn so to get the double stamina outfit and a gear bit I have to do 100 and 800 consecutive dashes on PHONE. Kinda regretting buying this now

correction: you said the NG+ cape reduces HP by 3 when in reality it just max your max HP 2. I figured this out by equipping a piece of Ochre while wearing the NG+ cape...no effect

If you switch the guns fast you can skip the reloading time I like the shotgun, so I SHOT and switch to the other gun then back to the shotgun super fast to be able to shoot another shot again Edit: well... I didn't think you'd mention AND use that in the one video I decided to comment this on xD

Great HLD vids watched them all there is an achievement called the dash eternal at 1000 dashes no troll :)
