The music, the art. Wow.

If you had asked me to imagine this game, based only on the title, I would imagine a completely different game style.

Looks (and sounds) really good! Can't wait to play.

This is by far the best trailer I have ever seen for a game. It's not often that I rewatch a trailer, let a lot rewatch it over 10 times lol. I'm very much looking forward to spending my weekend with this game. It's very obvious that a lot of love has been put into this project. I applaud you for your hard wok!

its 2020 and this is still the best game i have ever played.

Something about this game just.... clicked. The visuals, the gameplay, the world, the story, the characters, all just made me fall in love with the game. It won't be a perfect game for most people, but it will be for me. It's what I've been looking for in an Indie game for such a long time now... my GOTY, and maybe my personal favorite game of all time. Thank you, Heart Machine, for one of the most impactful games I have ever played.

have to say, beating this game left me with the most intense empty feeling. I couldn't get the game out of my head, would think about it all day at work, play it all night when I got home. The mystery and intrigue elements hit me deep, as well as getting perfect at the game with dashing. If you've dashed 800 times around in the upgrade shop to get the purple suit you know what I'm talking about. This game is bliss for me, and the trailer epitomizes this. I've watched this trailer probably 50 times since I started playing the game. I've played hundreds of games, this one though, really twangs the soul.

The thing is, the music and the art isn't even all this game has to offer, the gameplay and lore are fucking phenomenal aswell. Truly a masterpiece.

4 years later, 30 playthroughs later...and it was worth every penny and then some.

To anyone thinking of getting this game, I cannot recommend it enough. The art and music alone make this game a profoundly emotional experience, and on top of that, the gameplay makes you feel like a badass, phenomenal game

It's been so many years since I backed this in 2013. So much has happened in my life since then. I was such a different person, and yet I'm still kinda the same. And now it's actually happening. It's so surreal, you know? "Consoles coming soon" Oh damn it.

I've had alot of fun with this game. Except for the crystal room 1:14.

I'm going to miss this... I guess the transition to 3D was inevitable... It just feels like it lost something along the way. I love this game.

Heart Machine I’ll always love this trailer. There’s just something beautifully simplistic about it that makes it both extremely rewatchable and hard hitting. Maybe it’s the lack of hard violent sounds over the fast gameplay that’s playing in the background. Either way thanks for the game guys :]]

6 years later, still one of my absolute favorite games. Heart machine came out of nowhere, and i was hooked from the initial images when the game was still in development. They delivered so damn well with music, art-style, AND gameplay. Ive always been a fan of classical piano, and hearing this soundtrack which was inspired by Debussy, while still holding its ground on a futuristic apocalyptic type of game, made me obsessed with both the soundtrack and disasterpiece I hope Alex is doing well, i know the game was initially delayed due to his heart condition.

One of the game I've supported from the start, and forever will. Thank you for making it.

Absolutely glorious trailer. And I'm very pleased to see level and enemy design that requires the advanced mechanics I enjoyed so much in the preview build, like chain dashing and projecting deflecting. The shoot-and-retreat pace of that room swarming with tiny enemies looks terrific. I fell in love with the game's moveset as much as its art style and music when I played the preview build, and it's clear that the full game is really going to explore it. I can hardly wait for the 31st!

That cult deep dark feel to the artwork and characters backstory, 8bit, 16bit, top-down, less words to explain the story and as far away from reality as possible. More games like this need to be made, for those of us hard into the imagination and art of cult games. Keep your AAA super sharp everything's so real games, take a walk outside if you want the real world. This stuff is invigorating to the mind

The first trailer hocked me so hard that i fully fall in love with this Game. I buy this game on Humble on Oktober 15 2013 and never regret the decision to buy it that early. I was back then so hyped that i buy the ultimate edition and the Alternate Charakter. This announcement made my day. Every time this track comes on I just have to go back and watch this trailer, and every time I wish I could play through Hyper Light Drifter for the first time again. What an absolutely wonderful game. And the soundtrack is possibly DP's finest work to date, too.

This is way better than I expected it to be.

There's something about the music at 0:47 that hits me deep. I keep listening over the song again again to hear that sound with the piano again. The whole soundtrack is good but I wish there was more of that combination of sounds! Will play this game soon looks great

I've been waiting for so long

This is one of my favorite games right now. It has a strange way of making these calm ambient moments turn into a rushing battle or epic view at this rotting titan thing. On top of how epic these moments feel, they flow naturally. When the game wants to show an epic view it doesn't have to go to a cut scene and take control away, they just pan the camera slightly and you will see the great epic view. It so fluid in the combat and basically if you find any interest in this i would recommend it
