In this lecture, Professor Zach Murphy will present on Hyperlipidemia. We will discuss the differences between Inherited and Acquired Hyperlipidemia and the complications of Hyperlipidemia, including Atherosclerosis, Pancreatitis, and Steatosis. We will then transition to a digital presentation to discuss the diagnosis of Hyperlipidemia through lab work and physical exam findings. I tested positive for the inherited type. I had to go on a strict regime. I gave up all animal products, added oils, added sugars, went Whole Foods plant based and I got my numbers normal. It is like diabetes or something. I need to take supplements. My protein is mostly legumes. My HDL is OK. I was given a statin initially. I had horrible side effects.
