Breakdown of the Hyperspace tunnel created in Unreal Engine 5 for my Kotor Series!

If you get a chance, you should watch a Star Wars fan film called "Rescue Mission". I can't remember his name; but the guy who voices Revan in the film would be perfect for your project. 😊😊

How is it that a small crew is making this masterfully epic scene come to life but BioWare or Obsidian or SOMEONE can't remake the KOTOR games using this technology?

Making a scripted video is probably much easier than making an entire game. Less content, no need for testing & building gameplay systems, etc...

@@sleepyostrichthing3599 Remember, all the content is already there. What needs to be done is to remake the environments, which honestly wouldn't be all that bad for a talented team of graphic designers.

@@sleepyostrichthing3599 Yes, much easier and cheaper. Also do not forget that this game has to work perfectly and fast on pretty average hardware. For movie you make shots on a strong machine so creators do not have to worry about performance. Game devs need to take it into account as the game needs to run on players hardware. For good game you need a budget at least in dozens of millions of dollars. And then more millions for promotion.

@@thatdollfin3369 I am afraid it is not that simple. It is not only question of changing graphic assets. The game would need to be build in a new engine, because the old one wouldn't be able to run something of that quality. Most of its content would need to be recreated from scratch in modern engine. Prolly only audio files can be moved without changes.

I am pretty sure you are smart enough. It is not rocket science. You simply need to put hundreds of hours to learn the engine. There are tons of tutorials and courses online.

@@jilliebean6312 No the tutorials really do make it hella easy once you have the hang of the tools they are explaining. Unreal Engine was originally made just for Epic to make their own games, but once they switched track to licensing the engine out to other developers they put a lot of work into making the tools nice and usable for as many devs as possible. The result is a much easier experience in some regards than say Autodesk Maya for particle work.

Imagine if Hyperspace wouldn't have been invented before Revan and his crew's mission to get the Star Forge Map, and they had to use sleeper ships in order to travel from planet to planet, spending decades, or even centuries, in order to complete their mission

THIS WAS AMAZING! I would definitely love to see more videos like this showing your process. Not only does it give us little noodles of knowledge about the creation of the series but also it gives us insight into techniques that can be used for anyone aspiring to do animation in Unreal. I am super hyped for this project and I can wait for it to be released! :)

Cograts for your work! It's amazing! I tried to learn these things but I was awful at texturing 😅 Very good job, just a minor critic, maybe the background of the stars can be improved or changed by other one. I didn' realize when I saw the final render, but then I did. A very great job! Go on!

tatooine should appear/scale up from the front center of the ships trajectory, not from any random other point.

Excellent work, BUT there's a problem when the ship drops out of hyperspace. It's supposed to look like the ship is approaching the planet very fast and decellerating, but the planet zooms in from a point in the lower right of the screen, NOT where the ship is pointing- this makes it look like the PLANET is moving, rather than the ship. I also notice that the star streaks seem to recede to a point slightly to the right of where the tunnel ended, when it should be the same- i think this is because the camera was still moving during the white flash, but it's a little distracting. Amazing work otherwise.

Currently, it looks like the voice actor application says "coming soon", but I bet if you talk to them through that email you'll be able to get in touch. anyways good luck, I really want to see this project do well!

I'm not a developer, but because you're basically making all the assets that would be in the game, if someone were to get the assets, do the programming and without a word, release a fan made remake in its entirety anonymously on every available social media, wouldn't it be impossible for Disney to stop it? Once its on the internet, and spread around to enough people, I couldn't see any possible way they'd be able to monitor all that.
