I'm still a bit shocked that these are well under $100. Really decent for your average homeowner. I love that almost anyone can justify the cost of these, and not totally be wasting their money. No shameful sales pass from the tool store guy trying to sell you a $700 set of tools, just grab a tool, fix some stuff and move on.

I have the HyperTough 12V Brushless Impact and so far I'm impressed. I keep it in my tool bag for everyday service and maintenance work because how light and compact it is; compact enough to fit into spaces the 18V tools can't. I've been tempted to get the drill version of the 12V impact for those times when impacts tend to clatter away on some things. Although I do have Milwaukee M18 tools for those days when I'm going to be doing a lot of work.

I’ll get mines next pay check I just bought both ratchets the short one and the long one also bought the impact driver and the other impact just need the one your showing now the tools are not that bad I am a technician I work on cars all day and man these tools really help me speed up the process of taking parts apart etc etc good stuff

This happened to my Kobalt XTR. I went back to switch to another one. If you didn't have that problem before, then it only means that this is something that may happen over time where parts does get loose somehow because of a design flaw.

I feel like it's a good screwdriver that prevents me from stripping out screws, because for the same price I could have gotten a more powerful one but it was too big and too much for what I needed. It's nice to see a test thanks for sharing, being honest though I think it's too much to ask from the little thing, but still impressive.

Did the Skil drill broke or was it a safety mechanism that was trying to go up a gear (faster) for the drill not to stop (burn up)? Did you try it in second gear? Interesting to the outcome.

Price to Performance are pretty impressive for the brushless HT stuff.. Recently bought the HT brushless Driver/Drill combo, extra 2Ah battery, fast charger, and zipper storage bag for my daughter for $125.

im surpised no one else has commented that you appear to have tested the 5/8 spade bit then tested the 9/16 spade and seem surprised that it did the 9/16 after it had just done the 5/8. and you say about how maybe it had a tough spot in the wood. or maybe you just mistakenly did a bigger spade bit. just found it funny, still a good review. Probably one of those mistakes made because of thinking about the camera and getting the shot.

What the hell why are these 12v hyper tough so much better than the 20v hyper tough? The 20v hyper tough drills max out at 550rpm and as such are nearly useless
