Yeah I don't get it. Its not like a recast or a "real" successor for the wider universe going forward. The point of this story and walkers character is how hard it is to follow Steve and how silly it is to try to manufacture that by the government. How special a person Rogers was to hold the mantle and the ability of the super soldier serum and never abuse it. To always be a pillar of integrity. Thats the whole point of cap. This isn't a story about the "new" cap being buddy buddy with everyone and having his own Avengers movies someday. The entire point was to feel uneasy about it even if he never goes off the rails, feeling like Sam and Bucky do when they see a new "Cap", and its done very well with the writing and acting of Walkers actor. Getting angry and sending real messages to him about how he is a bad captian america is so childish and surface level in terms of your understanding of the show. This is probably the most interesting thing they could do with someone else putting on that suit.

I don’t think I can choose bc I love both a lot and also tfatws isn’t over but anyways: wv was emotional, pretty cool, kinda sad, and had a nice reveal that set up for later movies/series/etc. Tfatws focuses on a lot of real issues and topics of the real world and has good action sequences and such. Both shows have some of my favorite characters and actors and I also think Loki series will be really amazing too

The difference is that Sam did not give it to Walker, he didn’t know they would do it. Peter deliberately did give it. Also in case you haven’t noticed, he isn’t hesitant to take the responsibilities like Peter is, it’s different for Sam. In episode 2 i think he said it was something Bucky or Steve would never understand. He is saying that he would not be accepted because he is a different color of skin and the nation would not like it. So the two situations are incomparable as Sam has a valid reason to not take up the mantle

@@SaadHij Peter thought he wasn't smart enough or up to the task. Also Steve gave it to Sam specifically and Sam tried it on and then Steve asked how it felt. Sam knew very well that the shield was handed over to him...he shouldn't have given to the government...he was free agent (he said it to John). So yes both had different reasons but what I mean is that both were somewhat relatable.

Its really sad because they're both such good talented and empathetic people.

It’s also the fact that Isiah Bradley was a black super soldier doing America’s work and no one knew, indicating how although black people can be amazing soldiers they were refused to be symbols of America like Steve was, even though Isiah was so strong he ripped of Bucky’s arm
