Not short of recent reviews and awards including the Performance Car of The Year 2021 with Top Gear themselves, this car has been met with praise across the spectrum of review channels from autocar and carfection to Top Gear...

I’ve had mine just over 3 months now. 5000 miles in and I just keep smiling. It’s amazing to live with and is a real pleasure to drive.

Had mine since October here in Spain, perf blue with BOSE system. Running it in was easy because it’s just as fun cruising around in; it’s LOUD and everyone stares as much as anything on the road. When you put your foot down it’s just fun. The whole car is just incredible fun.

I think Hyundai is a seriously underrated manufacturer.My wife has a i10 first generation and it has been utterly reliable. Happy Christmas Dale

I've got one and I'm loving it. Just driving around the suburbs, it's fun as hell to drive. I learnt to drive a manual just for this car.

I am already running one in Switzerland! I totally agree an outstanding little car! And I sense a very solid base for mild tuning ... It reminds me WRX STi but in a small tight package

Pick mine up between Christmas and new year - ordered in August (Perf Blue with Bose) and got confirmation it landed in Tilbury this week - plan is to very quickly rack up the 600 miles of break in period, then keep it in N mode indefinitely! :D EDIT: Props for the charity work too - have a subscribe from one car mad dad to another!

If you don't mind me asking which dealer did you order from? Like you I ordered in August but its still being pushed back and is now into the middle of Jan 🙄

@@callumjewell6904 Motorvogue Norwich - I first enquired on the 25th of July and placed the order on the 4th of August, but the allocation of orders has been very random... And the communication between Hyundai, the factory and the dealer network next to non-existent! Mine didn't even know my car was on the boat until I emualed him!

Great vid! This or the I30n? I know they are in different categories but which one is more fun? Also, there is such a big difference with the ride between i20n and the i30n having adaptive dampers? Thanks! 😁

Wow - huge question. I suppose it depends what for… Daily with huge mileage - i30N for me… BUT lower mileage and nothing too drastic for fun the i20N is genuinely heads and shoulders above in miles for smiles! Hard to believe I’m saying it - big fan of the i30N But this car is super special x

@@CarMadDad Thanks a lot for the answer! I've never been so conflicted in my entire life about choosing between A or B like those 2 cars. 🤣 In my country I can't test drive any of the two because they are not available so it's a tough decision. I can't say I'm doing many miles, around 10k km/year. Much of it is city driving and 5 trips per year in the country... My brain says the I30n but my heart says the i20n. 😅 Nevertheless, I have to wait 9 months at least on any of them... Keep it up guys and wish you all the best for the holidays and new year 2022! 🤗🚘🚗🛻

@@JazzysTrove Get the i20n, you'll save a lot on the purchase price, it's cheaper to run, and a lot more fun. Plus it's a brand new model, the i30n has just been facelifted, so it's more mid life. The i20n is also surprisingly roomy in the back seats. I'm 5'11" and I fit in comfortably behind my driver's seat position.

@@Didzeey Thanks for the info! 😁 Yeah, I'm leaning more and more towards the i20n. I'm 1.91 cm height so I'm pretty tall but honestly I'm not going to carry anyone in the back seats anytime soon. 😅 I also like the interior more in the i20n and the fact that it's manual only it seals the deal for me. In my country the i30n only come in the DCT variant. Cheers, happy holidays and great new year! 🥳

I ordered mine last Saturday. The Bose sound system is an extra, but I've been told the sound system in it is just as good.

FYI the Bose sound system comes standard in Australia. Could explain why they're hiding that option in other markets.

How was the refinement on the more normal engine modes? Do you think it could do a relatively ‘relaxed’ motorway trip?! Was the road noise ok?

I think this is where Hyundai excel. As good as any rival if not too of the class - turn it all off and you’ve got a resonantly comfortable little hatch back 👌

One question, what is the suspension like? Is it too uncomfortable for day to day? or filters irregularities well?

I think it does very well for a short wheel base very capable car - class leading in my opinion

Is straight line performance much different to the i30n because my options are open for both but which one is realistically better ?

The 0-60 is less that 0.5 seconds between them both chap so not really. The i20 is the more engaging drive in my opinion but the i30 is a better all rounder… so really depends what your after and will use it for

I never tested above the speed limit so could t speak from experience chap. I would imagine the i30N would pull harder but would be guessing. No worries chappy - you too

ordered a red one last week they reckon it will be here march no bose apparently roof and bose delays the order even more not bothered about bose and can wrap roof if you want black changing from swift sport (last of the turbo only) got crazy trade in in this mad 2nd hand car market

I have a Swift Sport and am considering a change so am interested in your experience of changing. I think the Swift is majorly underated and surprises everyone who comes for a drive. But I do fancy a little bit more oomph.

That’s a win win for me chap The ST is more “raw” and the i20N more “tech” however both are awesome as a hit hatch My money = The Hyundai!!!

@@CarMadDad the ST has 320nm and 197bhp nd the I20n had 204bhp 275nm on paper the ST wins 🤔 I herd it keeps pulling and pulling and the I20n runs out of Steam I wonder if there is a way to tune the 20n like the ST? But I'm leaning towards the I20n due to its different but something still nagging me About the ST I think it's got the better engine

I can’t say I felt the ST engine was better I think the i20N torque helps it pull lovely. I don’t think there is a bad decision here - however I’m sure a test drive in both might help you decide??? Each to their own chap!

@@Chappers.Gaming I feel you! I am the same. The engine sounds better in ST for me and the new seats and interior looks a bit more polished that the N. ST looks cool and N looks aggressive. The same situation I faced when I was picking between the TypeR and MeganeRS Trophy. I eventually ended up picking megane RS (which is sorta equivalent to Fiesta ST at this lower price bracket).
