You can press and hold the autosteer button (the button with the steering wheel icon) on the steering wheel for 3 seconds to turn off lane assist. Autosteer still works without lane assist. I-Pedal still works with the latest software. The steeringwheel- and seat heater have an auto setting that does a pretty good job, and you can use voice control as well. Voice control even works with a scottish accent, it should thus understand you flawlessly.

Hey, that's my car! Ioniq 5 Ultimate 2022 here, & the HUD is awesome. I thought it'd be a gimmick, but it's great & I really miss it when I drive another car. One pedal driving mode is awesome as well, i-pedal or whatever they call it. However, no rear windscreen wiper is DUMB.

Setting the climate control, seat warmer and ventilation, and steering wheel heat on can be done by touching the Voice Command button and telling the car what you want to do. That button is right there on the steering wheel. I use it all the time, as well as use it for navigation commands such as "find charging stations" or "calculate route to X". Couldn't be easier, and it works flawlessly once I learned what commands to speak.

Great car and still pleased with it. The main faults are lack of rear wiper, front windows don’t clear rain on them when lowered, CarPlay isn’t wireless, the door handles don’t auto pop out, and having to switch off lane assist every time the car is started.

Oh, and the rain is channeled perfectly to drip on the rear view camera!

my handles auto pop out in the UK. it's only available on the top spec.

Wireless CarPlay is easy with adapters from amazon - works better than the wireless in my other car. Rainx for the glass. I think they worried wipers may change the aerodynamics - but they should have added it at the get go. Door handles auto pop on the limited trim. But otherwise nearly perfect car.

Crikey, the 360 view is pretty advanced. Much easier than physically gettin off my harris to look around on my stumpy legs...

I'm fairly sure that the iPedal function has not been removed. You need to take the Auto setting off to get iPedal. Also don't forget 'snow' mode! And I have it on the best authority that it is "Hyundai to rhyme with Sunday"

For mine you just keep flicking the left paddle to get to iPedal, I don't remember changing a setting to get iPedal in that paddle cycle, but it's been a few months now so I can't be sure. It doesn't remember iPedal which is annoying, so when I get in I select Drive & flick the left paddle once to go from Level 3 to iPedal.

got my Ioniq 5 two weeks ago, fully updated and it has ipedal. He had his in auto which needed to be turned off.

About removing i-pedal. Why haven't we heard about this from any other source? This would be a reasonably big news. I'm sorry, but I doubt this information.

It's all good and fine until you loose connectivity. My uncle has a Genesis and the tech might as well be a paperweight because Hyundai used an ancient EVDO radio for it's BlueLink services from 2015 - 2019.

NEWS ALERT! This isn't 2019. The Bluelink is much better with the latest releases of cars. Judging today's technology based on experiences from half a decade ago is foolish.

I did. It increases the regen to maximum while you hold it, but the iPedal move is gone.

@@TechteamGB quick flick back with left paddle, I do not hold to select ipedal. 22 58kwh premium.

@@TechteamGByou need to press and hold the right paddle to switch between regular and auto regen. I-pedal is only available in regular regen. It's one up from lv3.

@@TechteamGB it's not gone at all. I have a 2 week old Ioniq 5 and it's there. you need to turn off auto first.

@@TechteamGB Hold right paddle down, 'Auto' mode will turn off, then you can click the left paddle to go up through regen levels, fourth click will turn on iPedal, right paddle to go down through regen levels. Your iPedal setting is still there. You just overrode it with the Auto setting.

Whenever I see these cars, I'd love to have the speed and instant power of an EV, but as soon as it gets to using the car I'd rather have the pure simplicity of my MGB, it has what you need and no extra crap that's a distraction.

My wife is the furthest thing from a "techie" and she has no problems driving our Ioinq 5 limited AWD. There is nothing to distract unless you want to be distracted. So, your comment is clearly from someone who has never driven an EV before and who doesn't know at all what it is like.

So much false information in one video. Ventilated seats are for driver and passenger not just driver, Ipedal has never been removed, you just don't know how to turn off auto regen seemingly (hold down right paddle). and lane keep assist can be turned off via a button on the steering wheel. faff, but doable.
