great video, thanks for uploading, i have a 2012 kia ceed, it has five pins in the EGR solenoid, can yu tell me please which two pins i need to connect to 12 volts to test the solenoid please

hi on the Hyundai egr what issues did this cause with engine, im having issues with my 2.2 crdi 2007 model.. can it cause heavy Smoke on start up and no power for 30 sec to a minute ?

Truly excellent video! Just one question. I notice some of these engines have a throttle butterfly mechanism inside the inlet manifold which is operated by a solenoid, does this ever suffer as a result of an egr fault?

Excellent and informative video. I have 2012 Santa Fe Limited with the check light on.I need to have it smogged here in California. If I do this procedure will this turn off the engine light and allow me to have the vehicle inspected?

Hi Anthony, did you scan the ecu for codes? If you already did and the fault points to the EGR, cleaning it may help only if it's sticking or stuck due to carbon deposit. Clear the codes with a scantool after cleaning, if the CEL doesn't come back on, you're good. However, if the problem is the electronic egr actuator itself, cleaning the valve or clearing the codes won't do.

So while it's energized I shouldn't be able to put it back with my finger or it can come back but a lot harder?

Thank you for great video on testing egr valve, now can you please let me know who's powered this solenid? I have test whith the 12V and it is operate normal but when conected to socket there is not voltage. Thank you

@@alexandruveres4610 the signal come from ecu. The solenoid only triggered when its condition fullfilled. It will not always trigger.
