We open a 10 pack of Hyundai/Kia engine oil filters part number 26300 35505 which replaces part number 26300 35504.
The actual filter appear to be identical and very high quality whereas the individual box they are in differ.
I get PMs telling me the 6 pack was counterfeit.
Oil filters are like everything else mass produced, made in different factories and different locations in the world. It's all a matter of business contracts.
Counterfeit? Who fakes a 5 to 7 dollar oil filter?
Hyundai/Kia has a 10 year powertrain warranty. If you have any engine issues, I feel confident the process would go smoother when they see a genuine Hyundai/Kia oil filter threaded on the engine.
Don't gamble with your engine, stay OEM.
