The Hyundai Kona is a rival to the Peugeot 2008, Citroen C3 Aircross, SEAT Arona, Nissan Juke and Renault Captur in the small SUV crossover class. It's available with two petrol engines, namely a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder and a more powerful 1.6-litre. Five trim levels come with plenty of standard equipment and the car benefits from Hyundai's excellent five-year warranty.

guys, lose the color filter.. for some panning shots it might be fine but we want true colours while viewing the actual review.. the reviewer and the actual review is fine

In Portugal, they changed the name to hyundai kawai, because, in portuguese, kona means vagina.

Have to say after learning to drive in an i20, this Kona is a hoot to drive. Steering is well weighted and has actual feel. It's a Hyundai you actually can have a laugh in while driving.

Nice looking, higher sitting position, good ground clearance, easy to park, good active and passive safety, 4wd may save your but in snow and is not very expensive

Hi. Did you drive the version with FCA and AEB systems? Did you ever got any collision warning or autonomous braking? I have Hyundai Kona 1.0 T-GDI 120 CP 2WD Luxury+, which in Romania is the full version and so far after few months never got a collision warning even when the Garmin dashboard Cam 55 was reacting. The dealer claims the systems are working fine but never meet the conditions to react, which in my opinion is BS.

I was quite surprised when she said that if you need more space, go for the Citroen. I sat in one and I barely fit behind 170cm driver. Any more and I have to break my legs and my head to fit in. That means the Kona is worse? Oh dear....

In Portugal this car is called Hyundai Kawuai, because the spelled word "kona" it also means "Vagina" in Portuguese so, they had to change this car`s name.

I was sitting at many cars recently, at a local county show. And out of all the cars I sat in, the Kona had the most HORRIBLE, SCRATCHY plastics. No where could I find one soft touch, nice plastic. The only other car which had equally horrible plastics was the Dacia Duster. However, I can excuse the Duster, due to it's low price.

Kona............... This model should be interesting in my country (Portugal)....*sarcasm* Kona (or cona), is a kinky, and at times derogatory term for vagina, in my country. I don't think we'll be seeing this model around here without a name change (LOL) The same thing happened with the old Opel Ascona, which was sold around here simply as the Opel 1604.

I dont need to watch a reviews, I prefer to make a test drives. Kona is much better in driving and has AWD, Skoda is slower and FWD only for petrol engines. Also Kona is cheaper comparing similar set of options.

Because gas engines are slow, under powered and expensive to run. Have you ever driven an electric car? the reasons are obvious, if you have.

1905934 gas is slow? Kona 1.6 makes 0-100 in around 7sec. Ioniq electric version makes the same in 10sec! Also electric cars cost much more.

Gas is way more expensive to drive. Kicked the habit 2yrs ago.. already paid off the little difference in cost... I wonder how many times you can pull a 7 sec before the engine blow up or you drop the tranny? The nicest part about electric.. no transmission, no oil changes, no air filters, no exhaust muffler, it doesn't use brakes.. so there is never any brake jobs to do.. just need to top up the windshield fluid and that is all the expense you will need to do ... ever.. Hyundai is planning on making this Kona electric.. if they do they will sell millions.

This car is like a joke about a gal with great body and bad face. Great outside but inside looks like we back to early 90s. Is that headrest touching the headliner? Lol looks funny.
