Great tutorial .The best explanation as compared to others. However, I needed to see the entire window regulator removed. You went right to the door lock situation you had. BUMMER !! Thanks for the tip on securing the window. Nobody else shows that. Guess they want to create more business for the glass industry.

Thank you so much for this video! Was looking all over and was glad to find your video. Replaced a driver side door that has a bad lock actuator didn’t know how to remove that inner panel for access and this video helped me tremendously.

Useful video, lots of details. Sucks that the power window on these cars goes out in so many different ways. My panel has an issue with just the drivers side auto down. It sticks down and doesn't come up properly. Im hoping if I replace the buttons it will start to work again. Ill come back and comment again if I had any luck.

Thanks subscribed. My window wouldn't go up so I started taking it apart but couldnt get that second part off and I put it back together. I didn't want to mess with the motor but I guess I should have.

Watched this before diving into disassembling my car door to replace the exterior handle assembly. Wow, disassembling the door of a 2002 sonata was a lot easier than this. Although I couldn't find any videos that showed me how to take one apart; my car is so dang old. Thanks tho.

I loved your video. It was quite clear and very helpful but my problem is that the window cables inside got out of the track and snapped. I need to remove the inner panel completely. Any way you have a video showing how to get it off completely?

I don’t actually do it in the video but I talk about it and show how to do it. Go to min. @11:35 I mention that if you remove the 3 bolts on the side you can then wiggle it and slide it off to the right

I have a 07 Hyundai sonata and my passenger door does not have an outside door handle. Not only that,, but I can no longer open from the inside or outside. What can I do here?

The 2 rivets closest to the door lock needs to be drilled out or the regulator panel won't come off.

I'm having the problem that the window is all the way down and doesn't turn by hand. How can one removes the windows bolts in that case.

My window glass is stuck all the way down & I can’t manage to pull it back up despite manually turn the gear where the motor was at. For my 11 hyundai elantra touring there’s no grip on the gear, Please help

I got a 2009 Sonata on the passenger side door buzzes really loud when I put car in reverse or remote lock it. It's annoying but hella funny when in a parking lot and people are getting in/out of their cars because it scares the shit outta them.

Thanks for the info. I have to figure out how to get inside the door on my 2003 Sonata. Both the inside latch and the outside handle won't open the door. Yep, I have to try to remove the door panel because the door won't open.

@@GarageBoys I got it figured out. I took a reciprocating saw and cut the plastic handle and back plate off of the car. I reached inside and found that the problem was that the latch mechanism was corroded. A few months ago I found a very nice one at Pic-A-Part, along with a good door handle. I replaced the mechanism, and now I'm trying to find the handle. I must have put it in a very safe place, because I have no idea where it is now. I think that I saw it a few days ago.

I just finished my window regulator, took me over 4 hours. I thought everything went well, I put everything back together, but my door lock works erratically, as if the cable is loose. Sometimes it locks fine but other times it doesn't, like it's weak or if the cable is loose, it doesn't click (loud) like before. I checked and the cables were put back fine. Any ideas? I'm not sure if that white plastic piece on the top left went in the right place next to the lock, could that be it?

It sounds like you need to clean your switch, check my video on my “Hyundai Repairs” Playlist about the Hyundai Santa Fe where I clean the connector for the gas cap door switch. It’s about the same mechanics and you have to do about the same thing for yours

Thanks for the info. My window doesn't work I tried to change the motor but no luck. I changed buttons and still doesn't work. What I should do? I tried to put the motor on other door and it's working great so please if you have any suggestions I will be appreciated .

Have you tried to check the fuses? I think those cars have one fuse for each window

I did remove the door panel, look at the thumbnail. Door panel is the plastic cover that where you have the window and lock buttons. Maybe you are talking about the frame cover.
