Negative. I had a 2015 AWD XLE RAV4 and I have taken it into deeper and muddier water than this. It did perfectly fine. Going over certain types of rocks was the only issue I had due to the lower hanging exhaust. The new RAV4s I’m sure are even more capable and that’s not to take anything away from the Tucson. The Tucson is a great vehicle as well.

I have a Santa Fe and AWD is pretty nice however engine protection is worse i have ever seen in any suv. Not only paper like skidplate but plastic oil filter that's right behind it.

You need to check if it takes additional ground clearance! For example if we put sidesteps on Defender it is not influence its ground clearance…
