October 2022: The Mann Road bridge was replaced to allow more lanes of I-465 to fit underneath. The time lapse shows the entire replacement process.

Even without the plans to widen I-465, it still looks a lot better than before.

They made it look fast here. But in reality projects like this take months.

If you look closely, you can see from the shadows how many days it took. It was a few weeks.

How many lanes do you need? The original bridge allows for 5 lanes in each direction with only 3 lanes in use

The number of lanes underneath the bridge seems the same as before, what's changed? Did they make the road width wider?

Replacing the overpass is likely 12-18 months ahead of actual freeway construction. I think it was wise to do it this way to deconflict the work and keeps things less crazy for everyone.

As an aside, all that heavy equipment is powered by diesel and always will be. That is, it will never be battery electric. That idea is absurd. For several reasons.
