So the members of Lolirock, Iris, Tahlia, and Arianna, are all magic princesses from another planet. They have a band called Lolirock (hence the name of the show). They incorporate magic into their shows, but their fans think it's all just special effects.

Fun fact: Coincidentally, a lot of characters in LoliRock are voiced by either Tabitha St. Germain (voice of Rarity), Ashleigh Ball (voice of Applejack and Rainbow Dash), and the main character is voiced by Kazumi Evans (singing voice of Rarity and Adagio from Equestria Girls). So, indeed in this show too, I presume, friendship is indeed magic.

How did you listen to lolirock and NOT listen to revolution!? In my opinion its the best song in the show!

For a bit of context, the show and songs are originally written in French which may explain some of the odd rhythms in the lyrics and the weirdness of the phrasing "here comes the girls"

I loved Lolirock, I'm so upset it never had a third season, due to multiple reasons, but mostly because of 💫money💫

I remember being OBSESSED with this show as a kid and all my bus friends clowned me for it lmao

Because the show is french and the english version is awesome but French just slaps everytime and honestly deserves to be more known by the international Lolirock community! Plus the show is amazing and FINALLY getting a season 3 which we've been asking for years!

Fun fact: The girl associated with blue, Talia, is voiced by Ashleigh Ball. Who was Rainbow Dash and Applejack in FIM. And the orange girl, Auriana, is voiced by Tabitha St. Germain, who voiced Rarity. And one of the villains is voiced by Vincent Tong. Who voiced multiple mlp characters.

While other shows like Totally Spies! and Winx Club hold a special place in my heart with a lot of other shows, Lolirock is one of the few shows out there that encouraged my singing dreams as a kid. Now that I look back on it, it was kind of cringy and I don't have a good voice, but it's so memorable. I would imagine being just like them, singing my heart out in a super cute outfit with these magical powers in front of a big crowd! I wish I could go back to those fun times when I would just sit at my desktop and watch magical girls save the world from evil.☺

"Celebrate" has got to be one of my favorite songs in this show. The intro is killer

Yes, they are magic Mathew, they are magical singing girls all from magical lands and they have to collect gems for a magical crown which saves Iris’s home (the blonde girl). It’s A LOT.

Something to point out : Iris (blondie) was the only one singing at first, but the writters thought it would be weird to have Aurianna and Talia be just there on the stage. So now they sing too, but there is only one singer for every girls, her voice just being modified a little. That's why a lot of people think their voices sound so alike and Iris is the only one with a mic.

If you watch the first episode of lolirock, it will explain most of the plot to the story, and also why they sing on stage, and yes they are superheroes with magic. Again, the first episode will explain all of this.

One of my best friends (who knew of this show's existence before me) and I would just sit after PE and start accappella-ing our favourite songs. To spice things up, one would sing in French while the other sang in English, and we'd see who can last without losing the rhythm! Another reason why I love this show is because I got to introduce it to my little cousin, which quickly became her favourite show. It warmed my heart that despite her knowing Arabic better than the main show's language, she got to enjoy it to its fullest by learning the songs! Lolirock is truly a hidden gem that brings, as we saw in Mathew's case, nothing but giddiness and pure happiness with its corny lyrics ( ^-^)ノ∠※。.:*♡:・'°☆💖

Ahh I'm so glad you've discovered Lolirock! Great magical girl show, and the voice actors for the three girls are also leads on My Little Pony, which is a fun crossover. A little bummed to not see New Star Generation in this lineup though; it's the best Lolirock song in my opinion.

Plus, we're supposed to finally be getting a 3rd season in a couple years, so there will be even more songs to look forward to then ❤

So, I never heard the songs in English, because I'm French. I feel like the singer voice is more 'nasal' than the French's singer, but I don't hate it... It's just different, and maybe it's my nostalgia speaking but I prefer the french one, which isn't always the case for songs... Also, just an information: there's only one singer who does the three voices, in English it's Yasmin Shah, and in French it's Cassandre Berger. There's only one singer because at the beginning only Iris was going to sing but it was strange that she was the only one to open her mouth. So they choose to change it so the two other would sing with her. But because they couldn't afford it, they used the singer's voice then they mixed it and transformed it on a computer. Apparently, this show is a big part of many people’s childhood, I simply discovered this show, ever after high, and other French animated shows, and have been on a binge for a while. I just can’t get over how nuanced and well thought out some of these kids shows are! It really shows, that seemingly childish animated properties can still explore interesting themes, and it’s not quite as shallow as you’d first think. I do remember Code Lyoko being a big part of my childhood, my siblings and I loved that show growing up. Used to rerun on CN.

Oh if you’re going to start getting into magical girls, then my two favourites are _Precure_ (although there are so many seasons and some are better than others lol 😆) and _Balala the Fairies,_ both of which have some nice songs! ^^

Personal opinion: as someone who watched Lolirock in French(the eng version is soo odd to me😂) but the French songs are soo much better to me. Idk if you're willing to try them out despite you might not understand it lmao.

this was a blast from the past jesus. For context, Mat, these girls are magical- they’re magical girls with a musical theme and they DO fight bad guys, like you thought. The show is originally French so the lyrics may seem off but they’re fun nonetheless.

this man is DIGGING UP everything i buried and forgot about. this channel is AMAZING for me. (the love interest was one of my first lil kid crushes 🌚) also i’m pretty sure that some of the voice actors from MLP were in this so all/most of the songs being about friendship made sense. I recommend you to listen to some of the songs in French with subtitles because they just sound so much better and have way less auto tune and the rhythms do actually make sense
