Instagram destroyed Vine almost immediately when they adopted short-form video, but the lack of competition caused them to become complacent. Musically started to take off, then TikTok blew up because they put a different spin on things, with the most notable probably being the ability to do duets. It's too bad Vine couldn't adapt enough to counter Instagram, but its legacy unquestionably lives on!
