I feel like if we were to try and terraform Mars, would it not make sense to attempt to turn a desert into fertile land (maybe by relocating the fauna or doing so in a way that allows said fauna to properly adapt to its new ecosystem) and use studies done from that to further research how to terraform a planet?

I'm suprised Markiplier hasn't played Surviving Mars with the Terraforming addon. It's a bit slow but it's incredible when you watch the numbers go up and then one day you can just disable the domes and people can live there. It's beautiful.
