I think I was 5 or 6 when I had the genius idea of not telling my parents I lost a tooth to see if the toothfairy existed. I remember waking up and still finding the tooth under the pillow, and hurt I felt for not getting any money and realizing there was no toothfairy but also a pride of being smarter than my parents (not that I was until many years later)
