What’s good y’all, I played soccer for around 13-15 years growing up and I can tell you from watching the show and also reading it that it’s surprisingly pretty accurate in terms of how football works in real life. There’s so many different ins and outs of these huge sports especially in soccer, so to see the series really focus and dive into these different aspects of the sport is really cool to see. That being said, obviously there are many goals, moves and scenes that are heavily dramatized for entertainment value and dramatic effect, for example some of Nagi‘s INSANE goals would be EXTREMELY difficult to recreate in real life , but still not impossible as many shown moves have already been done in real world games. However, overall the series depicts soccer really well and shows the game to the viewer almost to a level where you feel like you’ve played for years yourself and understand.

Having this come out every Sunday when I was in my indoor league would put me in the mood to play my ass off every time. I love this anime so much and never thought I’d like a sports anime.

The problem is that the phrase, "not a fan," in the context of our modern vernacular, has been warped to immediately mean "you (intensely) dislike that" due to it being a vernacular that is riddled with sarcasm and irony. Considering the definition of fan and largely taking into account the enthusiasm bit, Ron saying you are not a fan of soccer isn't meant as an insult in and of itself, and it isn't meant to group you in with people who do dislike it; he is merely meaning it as "you don't fit the mold of what a fan stereotypically is." So it's not entirely incorrect to call Michelle not a fan because of that reasoning, but it is also not fully correct to call Michelle "not a fan" because of the sarcastic modern vernacular

11:07 i used to be a soccer player (played for the national team for 10 years) and all move have in this anime have been done. It is just hyped up through the animation but it’s really moves that happened. Like the bicycle kick(2nd goal last episode) i think CR7 has hit that like 10-20 times already in official matches.Scorpion kick too. It just doesn’t look that flashi irl.

In USA There is not this kind of passion for The King of All sports, but with Messi in Inter Miami and you being the next place for the World Cup I wish that You could understand more. Isagi is most probably based on Inzaghi an italian player that wasnt all that good with the ball or physically stronger but his first touch and spacial awareness were almost unmatched

hey! first of all: love your reaction as always! so i'm not a fan of football/soccer, it bores the f out of me to watch a whole 90 min game but i friggin love Blue Lock. for me it's nothing like the real sport, the moves in the anime are far superior and the action brings it to another level.

I let Blue Lock finish before I started watching it so I could watch it in my own time without getting spoiled by the internet, and I'm watching your reactions after each episode I watch. It's been pretty fun so far. What I'm excited most for though is Kuroko no Basket coming next. In my opinion, the best of the 3 sports anime you will have watched. All the things I've heard you say you love about the other two shows, Kuroko is going to deliver big time. Can't wait for it to come to KZfaq.

Yeah the things Nagi was doing in this ep and does in general are not things real footballers can do so accurately, you may see a peak moment where like Ronaldo may do an insane acrobatic shot, but in Blue Lock everyone does everything near perfect and they never mess up, so think of all this as a level up from real life

their moves are easy , i am coach of the 33rd best i the world (freestyle soccer) and that sports is 10 times more dificult
