I haven’t seen all the episodes, but every one that I’ve watched and listened to God has used to speak wisdom, clarity and understanding to me. Perspective that I needed. I never knew our testimonies were so similar, except I was in darkness for much longer, I was romancing suicide, and God had to approach me and woo me in stages. His deliverance in my life has been powerful and subtle, but now getting more exponential as I surrender more of my life to Him. Thank you for being obedient to the Father. We need to talk about all the things you’re speaking about. God bless you, your family, friends, church and everyone around you.

About an Hour into the video Tim uses an example, “My mom was always there for me and she was jealous of me.” That instantly made me think of Jennette McCurdy 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 and her whole situation with her mom. I pray that anyone who experienced this SPECIFICALLY would experience the Holy Spirit healing their hearts and their minds right now. It’s SOOO heartbreaking to me how broken a lot of families truly are. Let’s pray y’all 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿💚

I asked our Youth Pastor to specifically lead a message with the youth on singleness. This is something heavy on my heart. So..I'd like to add that singleness is and should be a total vibe. It's everything. It should be seen as a season of self awareness and growth. It's legit the time you should be preparing for whatever God has in store. Your goal when you're in that season is simple, stay on the path, walk with Christ daily, be in the Word daily, serve whole heartedly, be kind and should dating/marriage be in that future the Holy Spirit will show you who that is when you're ready. Know that the lack of time spent embracing singleness is a large part of why so many marriages end in divorce. Why? Because most people inadvertanly make gods of their spouses and their children and neither can take the place of Jesus Christ.

I love all of your podcasts, but I think this is my favorite one. This is like my 3rd or 4th time watching this one because this one feels like my eye-opener, my saving grace, the epiphany I needed when it comes to just freedom in general. This was the take-off for me, freedom from pornography, low self-esteem, passivity, self-praise, self-pity, being a workaholic, JESUS! I didn't even realize being a workaholic was targeted toward me until after I received this revelation on Weds Jan 4th, 2023. Bruh I saw this at least the first or second week in December of 2022. This thing is that good Timbo!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I appreciate you for being obedient to God's call to use you where he sees fit. IT'S ALL A CHOICE! WE GET TO CHOOSE AND I WILL FOREVER MORE CHOOSE YOU LORD!

That don’t quit was for me! Entrepreneurship can be so weighty at times and often I think about just getting a stable job. Yet, I know my cafe is God’s vision for me. I’m learning things would be easier if I stewarded better. Also that slow times aren’t evidence Gods not in it any more. He’s present in the slow even when my short comings make things feel tighter than they are.

God bless you sis, sometimes even people we look up to, or leaders that have good intentions and mean well, can fall short, even all pastors at the end of the day are flawed, yet prayerfully striving toward the Character of Christ..the Bible is literally crystal clear about EVERYTHING, sometimes we simply may not yet have certain spiritual revelation.. pornography and masturbation fall under the umbrella of sexual immorality, which the Bible is expressly clear about..I believe he spoke out of pressure to give an immediate answer, without pausing for context on what was really being asked, which can happen to anyone doing live recordings..I absolutely love and admire Tim like the big brother I never had,☺️ set an alarm for his pod😅 and knowww his heart is definitely in the right place, which is why I am praying for my brother, that the grace of God continue to cover him and even allow an opportunity in the future for him to redeem this moment with greater clarity on behalf of his listeners.😊

The boys' blessings as they went to sleep had me in tears. Would love to see Tim discuss his opinion on corporal punishment given all the parenting wisdom. I've heard differing interperations of the 'rod of correction.' Some say it's a shepherd's staff, and thus isn’t for physical violence; others say physical consequences are necessary. Personally, I feel like if hitting a spouse is domestic abuse and hitting a pet is animal abuse, how is hitting a child not abuse? I'm aware there's a spectrum on the topic (light spanking vs. rulers vs. gentle parenting, etc.), but I would greatly appreciate another senior in the faith's perspective.

The Basement is an amazing podcast. I started listening to the Basement after you guys showed up on Dear Future Wifey. I have learned a lot since I started following DFW, but since I joined the Basement, I am amazed by the things that I did not know. I have learned more from these podcasts than I have learned from a lifetime of going to church, and everyday there's something new. Still trying to catch up on the episodes and look forward to learning so much more. I am also terrified at times too, because I get convicted so much by some of the things Tim says. I love the 'real-ness' that is displayed here. The Basement is a blessing to me and for sure is going to bless my kids by how I live my life in Christ. Everyday is a struggle, but I trust the Holy Spirit to continue to convict me when I go astray.

Loving this. I like that we have similar parenting views. I am that parent that influences my children to try things even when they are scared. When I took my daughters to IFly one was literally crying and I told her just try it once for two mins, if you hate it at least you know bc you tried it. I’m also that mom that tells my children go down the crazy steep hill with those rollerblades, you won’t go beyond the pavement. If you fall, you’ll get up, maybe get a scratch but it will be a thrill. Now, with my adult children I’m at the listening, and giving advice stage. I’m learning to do more listening and not just project my first thought bc I’m learning to be mindful. It’s not an easy transition nor easy to turn off that parenting stage to advice stage but it’s a necessity to establish the relationships God wants us to have with our kin. Big ups to the basement crew and Tim.

You and Preston at last. You have no idea how much I am dancing. That man's message and his ways captured my attention a beat before I knew about you and that was when he followed you preaching at Gateway last year. But even though I heard you first, his Oil of the Spirit messages spoke to me big time and I was hooked on those messages before I finally followed him to KZfaq and realized that man is ANOINTED. I have listened to allllll his stuff on his site back to 2013, and relistened to a ton of it and relistened blah blah blah. And somewhere in there I equally fell for the way you teach. But the two of you are FIYAH. Absolutely. So much so I sometimes repent and ask the Holy Spirit to never ever let your voices be in my ears more than His. THAT I cannot let happen, but as long I know not to let any man trump the voice of my God, I am there. Wisdom flows from both of you.

The Basement interviews have been "OMG, like what have I been doing with my walk with God." The practicality and Frank way Tim breaks down the scriptures is Wonderful. I find myself saying a lot, "I never thought of it like that, or I need to up my Word game!" The basement has made me more self aware and intentional about following God. The episode where they talked obedience and them walking out that obedience in stepping down as lead pastors. BRO!!!! To God be the Glory

Thanks for talking about the disrespect of time that occurs with single people in the church! Whew!! Also, to the point of some patriarchal churches that say the single pastors would be tempted sexually… They tend to say that as though married people and married leaders in the church ain’t tempted sexually or actively engaging in illicit sexual activity with someone who is not their spouse. It is not about marital status; it’s about a heart posture! Thank you for saying it, Tim! Love you bro!
