The problem is even if Utd won and were only 6 points behind Spurs, the difference in GD would be like an extra point for them. 9 points behind now but more like 10, effectively needing a 4 game turnaround on Spurs with 8 games left? That looks insurmountable., even with Spurs having to play the top 3.

The players are exhausted and that's expected when playing a game of football like it's a game of basketball. Bruno looked absolutely shattered even at half-time. At least in basketball, the court's smaller and they have a copious amount of timeouts! His tactics are diabolical and we wonder why there's so many muscular-related injuries. It's a joke!

His attitude is atrocious. He SLOWS DOWN as he approaches opponents in his press. His lack of pressing opens up huge gaps in the rest of the team defense. Rashford clearly cannot manage himself, so he needs a Roy Keane on the pitch to set him straight. But Bruno is not Roy Keane. Rashford is NOT a leader. He's 26 but acts like a kid. He's not had the example of true leadership and he is not it himself. So he needs a leader to train his absolutely poor habits.

It all went downhill when Rashford came on. No runs, no support, no pressing, no effort, just sits on last defender and walks around. Foals from set pieces, people not tracking late runs on edge of the box, relying on transition and overload football with no midfield. We have lost far too many leading positons because we dont know anything other than transition football. 0 control since the start of the season

It's Bruno. He doesn't have self-discipline and therefore cannot instill discipline in others. He'll go for the risky through ball even when we should be maintaiing possession. Dalot follows in his lead, he loses his mind at the end and dives into the Chelsea player out of frustration of being beat. Even Mainoo sending errant balls to the middle and out of bounds unnecessarily. Change the captain. Change the culture.

@@michael43567 We don't have the right players to do anything. That's partly on EtH for (Antony, Amrabat, etc). But that's on United's structure and operations. You cannot as a top club recruit largely through your manager's personal network. The faults of teh recruitment operations, enabled poor hires by someone who shouldn't be deciding, which leads to this sad bunch. If Roy Keane were in this side, we wouldn't lose in the final mintues like this. I gaurantee you nobody is pissed off and getting on each other for this result. And someone should be. Those are the problems and you need ownership to address this from up top. But eventually, Bruno needs to give way, and we need to recruit a true talisman to set the first-team culture for the club.

As players, you can carry out the style if the manager isn't good enough. You have to decide what's causing it. Eliminate one variable. Blindly replacing both gives you Chelsea...another issue of the player or manager.

The best part about all of this constant chaos we as fans are put through? Until the dressing room gets sorted out and the deadwood is gone, it does not matter who the manager is. Bring in any available manager IN THE WORLD and the results would be the same. The players of this club have been SELFISH and SHAMEFUL since Fergie retired. Year after year this club is a mockery. It will not end until players put the club first. The overhaul that is needed is insane. I pray Ratcliffe and INEOS sort this out and thankfully the internal structure looks like it’s coming together. Time for players that are serious about this club. Erik deserves a team that is serious about winning to see if his tactics can transition to the prem. What he achieved and implemented at Ajax earned him this job, and the players (injuries or not) will be the ones to make him look bad and ultimately cost him his job. May next season bless us with some consistency and progress. GGMU and UTFR ❤

Agree - we lack leaders in the dressing room. Leaders who have a calm head in critical moments. That is not Bruno. Bruno lacks self-discipline and therefore cannot instill discipline or high standards in other players. Rashford has mentality of a 21yo, weak, lazy, reactive, and not disciplined.

The most sensible and obvious pov. I swear on my life that even Pep couldn't get a CB duo of Maguire and Evans into UCL. The problem isn't Maguire and Evans, the problem is absolute lack of consistency in the starting line-up. We have had 28-29 diff starting backlines. Just in this game, we had 3. I am absolutely ETH in because this crazy style of play could bring results if the players would just be that bit better. Ppl asking for control with all these changes, remember, this team has been built for counter attacks only. For those who are ETH out, pls understand it isn't about the manager. For me, there are more instances of players letting ETH down rather than vice versa. For haters, ETH should go? Ok, drive him away but no one can make these disjointed lot of players successful

Agree - and Fernandes doesn't have discipline on the ball. He needs to be benched in situations where we need to have control. Eriksen and Mount would ad that. Reality is we don't have midfielders who cover all the bases. But I'd strip Bruno of the captaincy.

Casemiro was awful, Marcus was baffling, and the change of shape and mentality at 85mins, is what sunk us if we had just continued to play the way we were, we would have a better chance of getting a 4th or even a 5th goal but the opposition know they can attack without response from us, we went 35-40 with Chelsea not getting a goal 3 unanswered Goals from us, then our heads drop, we start panicking and mistakes creep in, and the end is inevitable

It's not a coincidence United give up injury time goals in two games on the trot. No discipline. No maturity. Bruno as captain sets this type of culture in the team. It's just the wild wild west. We cannot maintain possession. Take unnecessary risks. Rashford comes on and again for the life of him cannot sprint on defense. When he pressures, he slows down as he arrives at the opponent. Sticks his leg up half-heartedly to block a pass. 30 minutes and accomplishes nothing. Rashford OUT.

ETH lacks game management. Another loss due to poor substitutions. A captain can be subbed. Bruno was tired he needed to be subbed. The moment Garnacho was removed from the left wing and he brought in a midfilder, that wing became too much for Dalot. He couldn't handle that pressure.

Let’s be honest we can’t keep playing with these slow CBs and think we’ll be any good, they invite so much pressure on to us as a team and other players get out of position tryna help them cause they’re too slow. As well as the fact that they stay too deep, which opens the midfield making it harder to press as a team and easier to get overran

I feel your pain. Supporting this team is stressful, but as I have always said, we can't keep blaming the Managers. We did it when Louis van Gaal was there, repeated the same thing with Mourinho, and continued that trend till now with Erik ten Hag. Please let us see and look through this thing. The only set of people who have gotten a pass are the players. We blame them and still keep them in the team. The team got so bad that Erik had to bring players from our Youth team because the 'SUPPOSED' big players were a bloody waste. And now we want to sack another Manager who has done the best with what he's got, bearing in mind that he hasn't been given as much time as the others, coupled with having his best defenders injured, is downright unfair to me. We need to stop complaining about the Coaches. Yes, call them out on their bad decisions, but we should focus more on changing most of the players in the club because we have babies rather than devoted men with a winning mentality. Big shout out to you bro, I love your content and coverage on the club.

It wouldn't be bad if we swerve all the European spots and try for a big rebuild next season without trying to buy big stars. Let's see how the new Ratcliffe set up manages scouting (which must surely be going on already) recruitment and just overall development....I'm not sure at the moment. It's the biggest change in the club since it was infected by the Glazer parasites so a season out of Europe could be a blessing in disguise.

This season is indeed done for and there'll be no CL next year. Ratcliffe and his management team have a tanker to turn around. But so had Sir Alex in th eighties, and Sir Matt in the fifties after Munich. I feel sorry for fans of 30-40, who grew up knowing only success because the bad times are hard. But the clubs who are currently riding high will have their share of it, even the glamorous Manchester City. At least we aren't staring down the barrel of financial charges. Keep the faith - the good times are coming back.
