That's a great analysis. This song has no growling in it, which is unusual for Epica. I recommend sticking to live videos. Note that all the videos labeled "Omega Alive" might look like music videos, but they are actually live -- but without an audience because it was their pandemic project. I also recommend doing a mix of old and new material and recordings. If you find clips titled something with "live at Paradiso", that refers to a venue in Amsterdam where they played in 2006-ish, and if you find videos referring to "We will take you with us", that was a made-for-tv session they recorded around 2004. Both are good things to check out. Make sure to get the remastered HD versions. In 2013 the band had their 10th anniversary show entitled "Retrospect", which was a special concert with a full orcehstra and choir. Anything from that is really worth watching. As well as the already mentioned Omega Alive from the past couple of years.

Absolutely stunning performance of absolutely gorgeous band. Yeah, EPICA is the best in genre for me. It's EPICA with its incomparable tracks that brought symphonic metal to an incredible and almost unattainable level. I'm glad that they always give their best in works, that Simone's voice sounds at its best, they won't limit her in anything ( like in Nightwish sometimes I have feeling that Floor is limiting herself) And thanks for reaction of course 🖤

Epica has top-notch songwriting and all the musicians are at the top of their game. But their SINGER is a once in a generation talent, maybe once a century. They've been performing for 20 years and she still keeps getting better. If she didn't exist, we wouldn't know it was POSSIBLE to be this good.

Yes, this was from earlier this year, but the song is an older one. From the 4th album, Design Your Universe in 2009. Lyrics by Simone. Music by Coen (keys), Mark (guitar), and Isaac(lead guitar). it was the first album with Isaac. Simone has a great voice in general, but I really like the way it sounds in this song. Only the 2nd song from this show they have released, the other was a ballad called Rivers featuring Apocalytica. If you want to hear a heavier song, try Consign to Oblivion, live at the Zenith in Paris or the lyric video for Universal Death Squad.

Just a stunning performance. Simone is a goddess. Worth watching their performance of this song at their 10th anniversary Restrospect show with full choir and orchestra. You may not want to do a reaction to the same song but worth watching anyway. Epica is by far my favorite metal band. I've seen them live 4 times as headliners and once opening for Sabaton.

I love this song but this is one of their ightest. Please consider reacting to "The Essence of Silence", "Design your universe", "Consign to oblivion", all must be seen live. Also "Unchain Utopia" and "In all conscience" from Omega, these are some underrated gems.

Funny coincidence, there's a video of them doing "Unleashed" AND "Storm the Sorrow" back to back at Masters of Rock in 2014. Those are my favorite versions of both of those songs. Probably not worth a react, but you could check them out on your own time, especially for Simone's balls-to-the-wall performance on the second one.

Listen, I love Epica with all my heart and internal organs, but Unleashed sounds more immaculate and chilling on recording. Maybe because *FOR ME* I can hear the orchestra very well and understand the lyrics better.
