Erling Haaland scored yet another hat-trick as Manchester City thrashed Vincent Kompany’s Burnley 6-0 to power into the FA Cup semi-finals.
The prolific Norwegian followed up his five-goal haul against RB Leipzig on Tuesday with his sixth treble of the season as City ruthlessly put the Clarets to the sword at the Etihad Stadium.
World Cup winner Julian Alvarez celebrated his new contract with a double and 20-year-old Cole Palmer also got on the scoresheet as former City captain Kompany endured a miserable return to his old ground.

You can only be gracious for so long as a coach. That’s how you end up like Ole or Lampard or Gerrard. You have to believe your HIM, and make your players believe that. Look at arteta. Yes he gives some credit to pep but he also says they are different and he’s different. I think kompany does have it tho, but I’m just disagreeing with your comment specifically.

Today was bitter sweet as a city fan as of course I wanted city to go through But having the respect and admiration all city fans have for kompany it was a shame that his return home was like this . But respect where respect is due he's gracious in defeat and I truly believe it's moments like this that will make him stronger 💪

The biggest respect we can show him in the game was no complacency and try like we did play with our best XI and all on the pitch as it was Of course its sad but for sure it will be a massive turning point for him as a coach learning for this heavy defeats against the greatest manager and team

Same, I was conflicted before the game. Obviously want City to win but wouldn’t begrudge Burnley doing well Kompany’s 100% got the right mindset, and I wish him all the best I think getting beat like this, it’s the highest respect for Burnley. He won’t be surprised by a result like this, it’s where he’ll want Burnley to be.

It’s funny (in a good way) to see predictions come through. I remember in a Q&A that Pep said Kompany was the most likely to manage a team. Him and Fernandinho and now he’s managed a team on the brink of promotion to the PL. hopefully he stays up too

The question in dutch : do you feel like you get more recognition for your work in the UK than you do in Belgium? In short he Answers that he's not busy with that, it is the last thing on his mind. 2nd question is the one often asked, what he thinks about being mentionned as future City coach. He will be one of the greatest manager if he keeps the same mentality from his playing times. When he said we are 21st team in England not the first team in championship in post match interview that's intelligence that's mentality to push harder and harder also keeps reality in check. His dressing room talks are insane. With the shittiest of average players he maybe already secured promotion to pl. Most of the players in burnley playing regularly now were the 2nd/3rd choice on positions when they were on the pl probably. That speaks volume how burnley has grown under Vincent 💙💥

Well he is now a Premier league coach of a premier league team. So during summer he needs to reinforce the team and do better next year against these top team. This is the quality of opponents he will have almost every weekend. If he fails at that, then they will be right back to championship the year after
