Erling Haaland scored yet another hat-trick as Manchester City thrashed Vincent Kompany’s Burnley 6-0 to power into the FA Cup semi-finals.
The prolific Norwegian followed up his five-goal haul against RB Leipzig on Tuesday with his sixth treble of the season as City ruthlessly put the Clarets to the sword at the Etihad Stadium.
World Cup winner Julian Alvarez celebrated his new contract with a double and 20-year-old Cole Palmer also got on the scoresheet as former City captain Kompany endured a miserable return to his old ground.

Gracious and wise in defeat. He has lots of learning to go but he speaks with intelligence. I'd feel very lucky being a Burnley fan at the moment.

You can only be gracious for so long as a coach. That’s how you end up like Ole or Lampard or Gerrard. You have to believe your HIM, and make your players believe that. Look at arteta. Yes he gives some credit to pep but he also says they are different and he’s different. I think kompany does have it tho, but I’m just disagreeing with your comment specifically.

Today was bitter sweet as a city fan as of course I wanted city to go through But having the respect and admiration all city fans have for kompany it was a shame that his return home was like this . But respect where respect is due he's gracious in defeat and I truly believe it's moments like this that will make him stronger 💪

Same, I was conflicted before the game. Obviously want City to win but wouldn’t begrudge Burnley doing well Kompany’s 100% got the right mindset, and I wish him all the best I think getting beat like this, it’s the highest respect for Burnley. He won’t be surprised by a result like this, it’s where he’ll want Burnley to be.

Yeah I get you there. But, what if he is a great manager? It's conflicting but let's see how he does with Burnley in the prem nest year. He has to earn it, you see so many 'Legend' managers fail, Lampard at Chelsea, Ole at the rags. If he does come it has to be on merit, not nostalgia.

He will be one of the greatest manager if he keeps the same mentality from his playing times. When he said we are 21st team in England not the first team in championship in post match interview that's intelligence that's mentality to push harder and harder also keeps reality in check. His dressing room talks are insane. With the shittiest of average players he maybe already secured promotion to pl. Well he is now a Premier league coach of a premier league team. So during summer he needs to reinforce the team and do better next year against these top team.
