OCI does not take 3 ro 4 months. They say it takes long time but guaranteed you will receive OCI in 5 weeks. Application form for OCI has become very straightforward and takes 10-15 minutes to fill. You can mail your form to BLS and dont need to go in person. Saying all this with personal experience 2-3 months back.

After 2 years I got my VISA in August 2022 and then I started this in October 2022. Now I can relate all the things you and your brother are doing. I visited , niagra falls , since I had US visa so I walked over rainbow bridge and entered Canada. Had exp of Go bus from niagra falls to Wilmington , also have go train exp. Visited many cities like , Toronto , York , brampton ( didn't like the latest boards in Brampton ( hope you understand what I am taking about ). Lived in smart apartments vs colonial houses. This was like an awesome exp. Tim hortens : oh yea double double is good , but french vanilla small (1.69 ) is something an Indian can drink with Croaaiant heated with butter. Yes good decision . Change is mostly unsettling but god willing all will fall in place . Struggle to a limit is ok but beyond that you have to know that we got this one life with our family and u need to have good work / life balance . Best wishes

I live in Vancouver and have applied for tourist visa 15 days back. I saw that u gave your application personally,whereas here they said we have to courier it. Also so far no tracking number given . Feel so lost and frustrated because have received no email or message about my status. They cancelled my 10 year visa which was valid for 5 more years without informing me, and I was turned back from the airport ,hence I have to reapply for one.

While I was waiting for my canadian pp & during that time, i had already gathered papers for OCI application. As soon as I received my CAN pp, i went to BLS right after 2 days. I got my OCI within 1 month. How come everything is done at the last moment?
