@_Area-51 Speaking as a pensioner. This government has looked after me, thanks. I received 10.5% and 8.5 % rises in the last 2 years. Not forgetting the winter fuel allowance, which was significant. So no your wrong about them not looking after pensioners. Any pensioners whinging will be the ones who took the lump sum when they retired and blew it away on whatever. It could, though, be pensioners on the basic or less who hardly did a day's work in their lives. There are 6 million now on Universal credit, so that's one big headache for any incoming government. Those are the future whinging pensioners. I do, though, feel sorry for single parents who have young kids to bring up and still have to work. That must be hard.

@alandraper7901 they're raising the pension age it'll soon be 75, and a massive amount of those claiming benefits are the people you see here. It's unsustainable. We have to look after our own. It will be many, many years before, if ever the retirement age, is 75. That's exadurating to some tune. Equally, being able to retire in your early 50s has got to be questionable and a strain on the state, meaning we have to import people with their varying skills to replace them. 35 years should be looked at when it comes to state pension eligibility.
