One of the reasons the spider doesn't kill Kurapika is because the same thing that happened to Pitou could happen, her devotion to the king made Nen after death make her a killer doll with the sole purpose of going after Gon. If they caught Kurapika, the Boss (Chrollo) would not be able to defend itself from Kurapika's Nen.

One of the best moments in anime, also Pitou is a guy but voiced by a womans voice actor.
