I Animate My First Pokemon Cagematch Nuzlocke! | The Two-Player Pokemon Showdown in Kanto!

Жыл бұрынAn animated Nuzlocke adventure where two friends turn bitter rivals as they journey through a Randomized Kanto Region (Kanto-616) collecting gym badges in a Nuzlocke run with higher stakes and even higher rewards.
After every gym fight they do a 1 versus 1 Pokemon Cagematch where the victor can be given a TM, a Revive or a Held Item, while the loser dies.
At then end, after the league they both duel it out in a 6v6 match to see who is the true champion of the Kanto Region.
Welcome to the Pokemon Fire Red Cagematch Nuzlocke!

CAGELOCKE RULES (for this run) -
1. Catch the First Pokemon of every Route and Nickname them.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it dies.
3. If you white out, the game is over.
4. No TMs can be taught to your Pokemon. HMs are allowed if legal.
5. No combat oriented held items can be used in battle (Exceptions are - Exp. Shares, Lucky Eggs, Amulet Coins etc).
6. No potions inside of battle.
7. All trainer battlles are Double Battles.
8. After every Gym leader, we have a 1v1 match on Pokemon Showdown. Any alive Pokemon you have caught (in your active party or PC) can be sent in for a cage match. All Pokemon are set to Lvl50 and given ideal EVs/IVs.
9. The winning Pokemon of the cagematch can be given either TMs to learn, a Combat Held item for the rest of the run, or a Revive for the Nuzlocke.
10. The losing Pokemon dies and has to be boxed/released.
11. A pokemon can only be brought once to a cagematch, there can be no repeats. Therefore one Pokemon can only have one maximum perk.
12. After the league, the final team of 6 sent in to the Elite four has to be used for the final fight. No learnsets or items can be changed between the Champion fight and the Final Fight.
13. Winner of the final fight gets bragging rights.

It was the most fun to ideate with and create these gym redesigns! I had several earlier designs that didnt even make it to the video. Maybe someday I can show the rejected designs for Brock Misty and Lance(who didnt even make it as I lost before meeting Lance).

this is super cool, definitely deserves more attention! win or lose, you still told a compelling story with this, and I really liked all the small touches you added (like the new gym leader/e4 type themed designs and the trading cards showing the e4 teams). overall a great video with some fantastic animation and visual flair, if you end up doing more in the future I'll definitely look forward to it!

Its actually infuriating how this video hasn't gotten at least 100k views. The amount of time it must have taken to put this together must have been astounding. You honestly have a knack for animation and your script writing is pretty great as well! I hope this gets picked up by the algorithm some more because honestly, this is one of the best animated nuzlockes I've ever seen. For such a small channel, you pack a walloping amount of talent

This was amazing! Great story telling! I loved the Trainer Cards for the new randomized typed teams lol And all those references and clever imagery. And your designs and storyboarding! Dark Type Misty, the reveal of the Weezing and the Regirock! I think giving Spinda the revive was one of my favourites :)

This was truly amazing! Loved the detail in the animation and the storytelling. The subtle jokes and jabs thrown in there were pure class! From one desi to another, I so agree! It really breaks my heart that Nintendo and TPC doesnt support sales here in India. With everyone speculating about Gen9 being based in India before it was announced, I knew it wont happen because they dont have any attention to the Indian market. But maybe we will get there someday!

You caught onto it just right! After finishing our run and while I was writing the script, Aoi and I did discuss how it does genuinely feel like that it is the Rival's perspective and they were the protagonist.... Maybe in the future I get to be that protagonist!

As a major Pro Wrestling fan myself... I remember being a kid playing Fire Red for the first time on my Gameboy and reading the name of the Cave "Rock Tunnel" and just picturing The Rock as a Pokemon Trainer somewhere in the cave. So I had to pay tribute to that little kid :P

Really good and well animated video! I've always wanted to do a Cagelocke myself, and these are really crazy. Plus I just love well drawn videos like this. Keep up the good work, you'll probably go far!

Hey! It's never too late to do a nuzlocke run! Even if you are bored in the middle of the night or woke up all tired. Booting up a Pokemon game and that music always gets you going! Do a cagelocke! Tell me the entire story! I genuinely wanna know who won! Okay?

@@gracedeaanimations1559 I intend to do one at some point. I've done all sorts of Nuzlockes in the past. Regular nuzlockes, Wedlockes, Wonderlockes (my current favorite). I'd probably end up making a video on it, it's just a matter of convincing one of my friends to join me on it
