I myself come from a country where we eat a lot with our bare hands, but I think you are bullshitting. Why would people even bother to dip their hands in food when you can keep them clean and eat normally with your cutlery. It's not only easier to pick up the food, but it is also more hygienic if multiple people are eating at the same plate. Anyways, they used to eat with their bare hands because they didn't have the right tools, and now some people continue to do so despite being unnecessary and inferior.

@@aarussi2854 Natural and pure doesn't refer to the coal's cleanliness. Coal is good for cooking, but not when it is directly on the coal. A lot of germs have adapted to the heat of the sahara dessert, and there isn't a 100% guarantee that the sand is clean, as germs are also transmited through air, and there are some animals that carry germs in the dessert

In Estonia we make ash potatoes Context: The night before making the potatoes we have a special little thing where we light a fire and sing songs and jump over the fire. Then after everybodys gone asleep, someone plants the raw potatoes in the ash, so when we wake up in the morning sobered up, we take the potatoes out of the ash and eat it with butter and salt on top. The food always tastes better when it’s cooked like that. Both of my parents side families come from village life styles. And we lived in the city. For some reason the food my grandparents cooked tasted so much better. Then my mom said their cooking method is different. They’re cooking it on actual fire with no gas or anything. And that was actually it. My mom cooked the bread like that and a chefs kiss 💋
